The Amethyst is a glass dildo used for G-spot stimulation. One end has a small egg shaped head that is inserted and touches your G-spot area near the top of the vaginal canal. Here is picture showing you where the G-spot is located.


This toy can be used during temperature play (heating or cooling it), solo play, couple play, or even for finding that mysterious G-spot. This was the first to I can say DEFINITELY found it. Setting it in warm water or ice water to heat up and cool down would be the safest way to temperature play with the Amethyst. You can also use warming and cooling gels for a different experience.

Using this toy anally is not suggested for safety reasons. There is no flared base, and it is smaller in size, so you wouldn't want to lose it. I would also suggest NOT thrusting, really, but more twist and turn to stroke the G-spot.

The Amethyst is made of Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is food grade material, hypoallergenic, latex free and phalates free, which makes it a toy compatible for most anyone. This glass has no taste or smell. The material is rated at a ten on the EF safety scale. Pyrex is the brand name of this glass. Pyrex stays strong and solid against stress caused to the material due to temperature changes. Because of this, it can be either heated or cooled for temperature play. It is made to be resistant to shattering and breaking unlike regular glass. If it does break, it's made to snap and break into larger pieces, instead of shattering or splintering. The Pyrex glass is smooth in texture and feels like regular glass. Awesome features of this material is that it's non-porous and easy to clean. Although it is non-porous, I always recommend using a condom if sharing. After use, it can be washed with soap and water, thrown in the dishwasher, or wiped down with a sex toy cleaner.

The Amethyst works perfectly for its intended use. Its curved end is subtle enough to be comfortable inside, but curved enough to hit JUST the right spot. The opposite end is more bulbous with three bumps. It looks like a handle, for a good grip during use, but I tried it out as the penetrating end. The varying texture felt great inside of me.

I've read the size and shape of it is similar to the Bent Graduate. Unrealistic, and a little weird looking. It is on the slimmer and smaller side, which doesn't give you that "full" feeling while using. I prefer it be more fulfilling, so I was a little disappointed to see how small it was in person. This is my first G-spot toy AND glass toy, and I feel it was a great beginning to my future collection. The Amethyst would be great for beginners like me who are just discovering the G-spot. It would also be great for more advanced users because of its efficiency in doing its job.

Do to its small size and simple care, it would be perfect for travel. It comes in a simple, little, red pouch which conceals it perfectly, but you may want to get something a little more padded for long term. It could fit in a makeup size bag, purse, or suitcase easily. The fact that it is hard to break this type of glass makes it a great travel partner. You wont have to worry about bringing extra batteries or anyone hearing you. Also, if someone sees it during your travels, they won't exactly know what it is at first because it doesn't look like your run-of-the-mill vibrator or dildo.

The three best things about this toy are:

1) It ACTUALLY does hit the G-spot. With a little twisting and pushing, I found that bad boy and took it for a spin! If you like more outer vag and clit action, you might not find this toy so appealing. But simultaneously using it with a bullet, vibrator, butt plug, and/or lube, you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of this.

2) It is easy to clean, store, and care for. I love simple.

3) It's a beautiful piece of glass art. I love collecting glass art. This is my first glass dildo, and I've already created a list of glass pieces for my next order.

Borosilicate glass is simple and easy to care for. It can be washed with warm water and soap, wiped down with a toy cleansing cloth, or throw it by itself in the top rack by of the dishwasher. After washing the Amethyst, storing it is easy. It has no special specifications on where it should be stored, but the Pyrex is fine in high or low temperatures, in wet or dry places, and the light won't hurt it. So really you could keep it stored anywhere.

Any type of lube works with this including water based lubes, oil, and silicone lubricants. Applying a lube will turn this from a good time to an out-of-this-world experience. The amethyst will slip and slide all over and into just the right places.

When I opened my package, it was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside a red velvet case with a draw string (shown in the pictures), about the size of a sunglasses holder. The bag can be reused as a storage container to keep it from getting scratched, but there is no padding to protect it from falling. There were no care instructions inside the pouch, but EF has detailed care instructions on the toy readily available.

The Amethyst gave me my first "squirting" orgasm. I used it simultaneously with my favorite bullet vibe, FingO!
