This toy would be very intimidating to beginning users, due to it huge size. It is better suited to intermediate or advanced users. Since the level of care for this toy is high, it could be overwhelming for a less experienced user.

It is extremely porous and can harbor bacteria and germs. What sets the Doc Johnson UR3 toys apart is the addition of Sil-A-Gel, which is an antibacterial agent added during the production process. It helps to stave off bacteria growth and will not wash away or wear off over time. This product is also latex, phthalate and cadmium free.

In addition to being super velvety and soft, the toy has a dual density. It is soft and skin like on the outside, and firm on the inside. This gives it a very realistic feel when touched and when in use. It has a nice flexibility, bending without being too floppy. Since this toy was molded after a real cock, it has every detail from a thick head to veins to juicy balls. The UR3 material makes these little details even more pronounced, adding a high level of pleasure and stimulation during play.

I did not taste this toy, and do not intend to use it orally. Like the other UR3 toy I own, this one has a sweet smell to it, which lingers on the hands a bit and does not wash away. The design of this toy is very realistic, as it is molded after a real cock. The UR3 material captures the texture and veins of the subject's skin very well. Although the look is realistic, the size may seem out of the ordinary for many users. I would not suggest this for beginning users or those who prefer or need smaller toys. At 9" in total length, 7 1/4" being insertable, a diameter of 2" and weighing in at 1 pound, the Realistic Vibrating Cock is pretty intimidating. It took some getting used to, but once in, the size was very enjoyable for me. Size queens will appreciate the length and girth offered here.



One design feature that adds to the appeal of this vibrator is the suction cup base. This makes it easy to mount the toy on any hard surface. Slightly dampen the suction cup for a nice strong hold. Even without wetting it, the suction was fairly good, and did not budge when I attached it to the bed post and smacked it around. I did not use it while it was attached, though. The large size makes it hard to conceal or hide. If discretion is a concern for you, I would look elsewhere. It does come with a red pouch for traveling, but be sure to hide it well in your luggage. Take out the batteries to prevent it from turning on by accident. You might want to reserve this one for road trips, unless you want a nosy TSA agent to possibly pull a giant black cock out of your bag and wave it around in the security line. No one needs that on the way to a business trip.

The vibrations for this toy are controlled by a remote, which is attached to the toy. 3 AAA batteries are required to operate it. These are not included. Since it is corded, it is not recommended to use near water. I also caution against this because the cord seems to be a tad unstable, which is the only fabrication flaw I could find. The UR3 material conducts the vibrations very well. There are 7 variations of steady vibrations, pulses and escalations, controlled easily with the remote pack. I am not a huge fan of vibration patterns, so the the three levels of steady vibration were my favorite. The patterns were standard, no different than those offered in other Doc Johnson toys.
Even on the lowest setting, this toy is quite loud. This is another reason to shy away if you live in a shared space or dorm room. The noise produced would be able to be heard through covers and thorough a door. Moderate background noise, like a television or radio, would be able to help drown it out.

Caring for toys made from UR3 is a bit more time consuming than toys of a higher quality material. UR3 is very porous, and condom use is recommended for every use. I would not suggest sharing this toy, but should you find yourself in that situation, use a condom. This toy should also not be used in different areas of penetration without a condom. Again, I would suggest separate toys for this kind of play.

Wash with antibacterial soap and warm water after use. Let the toy air dry completely. Once dry, it will have a sticky, tacky texture. Dust the entirety of the toy with corn starch (do not use talc or baby powder as these can cause infection and other problems) to bring back its velvety texture. Make sure it is totally dry and store it in its original packaging or the included pouch. If it is put away damp, mold and bacteria can grow. It should not make contact with any other toys, as damage could occur.

Only water based lubricants should be used with this toy. Although the Eden product page lists [https://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-essentials/lubricantswater-based/sliquid-silk}Sliquid Silk] as water based, it has a slight amount of silicone in it. I tested it first on the base, and a bit of damage occurred. Choose a truly water based on like Sliquied H2O instead.

There is a small instruction leaflet included with the toy. In addition to listing care procedures, it also includes instructions on what to do if the cord to the remote becomes detached from the toy. Again, this was the only flaw I found with it. The cord seems unstable.

The packaging for the Realistic Cock is NOT discreet. In fact, it lends itself well to a gag gift. There is sex specific language all over the box and the cock can clearly be seen thorough a window on the box. I would suggest saving the box for storage, and for a good laugh.
