The Compact has a satisfying blend of firmness and flexibility. It is the perfect size for beginners, as a warm-up toy, or for those just looking for a compact dildo. The subtle ripples provide pleasing stimulation without being overwhelming. If your looking for a smaller dildo you can't go wrong with the Compact. If you're looking for a huge dong don't buy a dildo named the Compact. You'll be disappointed.

Pros
Firm, Flexible, Titillating texture, Perfect size for beginners
Cons
Attracts lint and hair like nobody's business, Could be firmer for g-spot beginners
This is an excellent dildo for beginners. It is small, yet pleasurable. This toy can be used by anyone. I use it vaginally, but it has a flared base making it safe for anal play. The Compact is also a good toy for couples because it is pliable. Partners can use the Compact on each other without worrying about bruising the cervix while thrusting. If you are sharing a dorm room and privacy is an issue, you can quickly stash Compact away without fear of breaking or damaging it.
The first thing I noticed about the Compact was its firmness. I squeezed the Compact with my fingers from the bottom of the shaft to the tip and noticed it was firmer in the textured areas, the bulbous tip being the firmest area. The Compact is both firm and pliable. The firmness adds increased sensations, while the flexibility of the Compact makes it receptive to your body's shape and movements. The Compact is well suited for gender play. The base makes it harness compatible. The base can also be used to grip as a handle. When I ran this dildo over the top of my hand I noticed the drag. I could also see it pulling my skin as it slid across my hand. This drag adds friction when thrusting. The Compact is healthy for your body being made out of 100% medical grade silicone. It is latex free, non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, orderless and tasteless. Since the Compact is made out of medical grade silicone you can confidently share it between partners and orifices after sanitizing it.
The design of the Compact is wonderful for those who would like to try textured sex toys. The texture is perfect for beginners. It isn't overwhelming or overstimulating. The shaft is curved for g-spot or p-spot stimulation. Covering the top half of the shaft are three spaced out ripples. These ripples feel really nice inside. The firm, bulbous tip of the Compact is the best part. It feels good during insertion and thrusting. You can go crazy with the Compact and not worry about bruising or hurting yourself or your partner. It's really an excellent little thrusting toy. The Compact is exactly what it is called-- designed to be small in size and economical in operation. It is 5 inches long, 4 of which are insertable. It has a circumference of three inches. I like the size of the Compact and find that even though it is small in stature compared to other dildos it can hold its own when it comes to pleasing. This is a great size for beginners. If you are looking for a toy to fill you up and give you a feeling a expansion then this isn't the toy for you. I recommend the Compact for beginners, those looking for a warm-up toy, or those looking for a smaller toy with the right amount of firmness and flexibility. The Compact is smaller than most, but shouldn't be discounted. It packs a punch!
Because of its size the Compact is perfect for traveling. It can be used anywhere and is waterproof. I wouldn't call this toy discreet. It is obviously a dildo. The shape leans toward a non-realistic look which I particularly like. I purchased mine in a bright red. It's a very nice color that adds to the illusory design.
The Compact feels very good in use. The firm head and ripples provide a really nice sensation when penetrating the vagina. Even after an hour or so of use, the stimulation provided by the texture of the compact never becomes overwhelming or over stimulating. The firmer textured areas on the compact is really what makes this toy enjoyable. Because the Compact avoids extravagance and provides only what is necessary I added a little to it by touching the base of the Compact with a vibrator for added stimulation. To be honest I prefer the compact without this added vibration. I felt it detracted from the feel of the texture. The Compact is a great little toy all on its own. This dildo has made me a fan of Tantus. I'm pleased with my little red Compact.
What isn't so great about the Compact is that it is hard to keep lint free. No matter what I do I find a spec of lint, a bunny hair or a fuzzy on it whenever I take it out. I took it out of the zip lock bag to write this review and immediately a cat hair was sucked onto the Compact, like a magnet. Picking off the hair is a pain. It's hard to grab the lint and hair from it.
The Compact by Tantus is a low maintenance toy. It is boilable, bleachable, and dishwasher safe when placed on the top rack. I clean mine with antibacterial soap and water. It is quick and effective. The top of the base is branded with the Tantus logo. Maybe it's me being anal (no pun intended) but I like to give that part an extra scrub and rinse in case lube or bodily fluids happen to make its way inside the logo. Speaking of lube, never use silicone based lube with this toy. The Compact is made of high quality silicone so using a silicone based lube will ruin it. After cleaning and drying the Compact I store it in a zip lock bag to try to keep it lint, hair, and fuzzy free. In order to preserve the color I don't store it in direct sunlight. If you have questionable silicone toys keep those away from the Compact as well as they could potentially ruin your toy. Otherwise it can pretty much be stored anywhere.
The Compact arrived in a clear, plastic, recyclable box. Information about the product is printed on the box. Here is a picture of my red Compact in its packaging. I wouldn't use the box for storage unless I were to hardly take the toy out and didn't mind it being seen. Because the box is see-through it does not make for discreet storage.
I was not successful ejaculating with this toy. I don't believe this has anything to do with the toy, but with me. I consider myself a g-spot beginner. It is easier to find my g-spot with a firmer toy, such as Ella by LELO. I don't think an experienced g-spotter will have trouble hitting their g-spot with the Compact.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore5 months after original review
I wish there was an option to choose that you still like it, but don't use it. I think this is a good dildo for beginners or for women who have vaginal tightness. The Compact can also be a great warm up toy. I bought the Compact when I didn't know anything about my body or what I like and enjoy. I wouldn't say that I don't like the Compact anymore, rather I find I've moved on to thicker dildos and other materials. I don't regret buying this one as a first dildo.

I found your follow up useful, as I do deal with vaginal tightness, and find a lot of bigger toys painful. I sooo want this. Thanks for the review!

Hmm, I am really interested in this toy, but I'm with you on liking toys with pretty firm heads, so we'll see. Also, I completely agree that there should be a "like it but don't use it" option for follow-ups; I have toys that are perfectly serviceable that I just don't use because for me, personally, something else works better.
