Is it a decoration... or more? The Sweet Candy Cane may leave you guessing. This holiday item is a glass dildo. It may trade some functionality for form, but it can serve some needs. It can be used for both vaginal and anal penetration. The curve of the candy cane acts as a safety for those who may use this toy anally. Because it is glass, it is best to go slow when using it, especially the first couple of times. This is because glass is unyielding and you can bruise your cervix and other bits if not careful!

This is also the type of glass used in laboratories and cookware. This ranks a 10 out of 10 on the material safety scale. It is non porous, so bacteria cannot get inside the toy. This also allows it to be shared and fully sterilized.

The Sweet Candy Cane is not realistic at all; it's a large glass candy cane! It would have been cool if they made the clear glass an opaque white to better match a candy cane. There is no overt odor or taste to the Candy Cane. The texture is completely smooth. Before use, always check the toy for any nicks or defects. The good thing is that this toy is not likely to shatter if it breaks; it will instead break into large chunks.



The toy is completely solid and unyielding. It will offer direct pressure and stay wherever you put it. This toy is okay for beginners, but I'd recommend other, more friendly options for those just getting into glass. More advanced users may want something at offers a more ergonomic use as well.

The Sweet Candy Cane is 7.5 inches long with an insertable length of 6 inches. The curve works as a handle as well as a safety net. The circumference is smaller than average at 3.25 inches. For comparison, the average circumference (vaginally) for toys is generally around 4 - 4.5 inches. The end is relatively blunt for this toy. It has one consistent circumference; there are not bumps or bulges.



Some lubricant will aid in insertion. I would recommend something different for beginners checking out glass, but this toy is not intimidating, is not too large in width, and is smooth without textures. You can control the length inserted by using your hand as a stopper. Those who are looking for a challenge or want something other than a standard glass toy will want to look elsewhere. You could use this toy for G-spotting if you angle it while using it. No parts of the toy are too pointed or sharp.

The design is a candy cane (surprise!). The red swirl is not exactly like a true candy cane, but it works. In terms of traveling, glass toys require a little more caution but it is possible to do. It might be best to wrap a cloth around the toy and then place it in the pouch it came with. Make sure it doesn't settle to the bottom of your bag; you don't want it to bear weight.

Again, this toy is nothing special, but you are afforded the benefits of glass. If you want to engage in temperature play, it holds heat and cold well. If you like it warm, you can hold the toy in your hands or rin it under warm water. If you like it colder, you can run the toy under cold water and pop it in the fridge for a while. Just make sure that the toy does not undergo extreme changes in temperature in a quick manner. For example, the glass can be boiled for sterilization and put in cold water, but it shouldn't be taken from boiling water and placed in ice water. This could structurally weaken (and potentially) break the glass.

The toy is okay for vaginal insertion. The toy can be partially inserted and a clitoral vibe can be used at the same time. Gravity makes the toy naturally angle down, which means it goes upwards in the vagina toward the G-spot. It can be a pleasing sensation for some.

Care for pyrex glass is easy. You have nearly an infinite amount of cleaning options. You can use soap and water, toy cleaner, a bleach solution, toy wipes, or boiling. Boiling and a bleach solution are the most reliable methods of sterilizing the Candy Cane. To boil for sterility, do so for 3 minutes. Again, just make sure the toy goes back to a normal temperature in a gradual way. The only place you may have to double check for cleaning is where the candy cane curls. There is a bit of wrinkling where the glass is shaped. It's very small, but debris could collect there if you're not looking.

Once clean and dry, you can store the Candy Cane in the pouch it comes with. Make sure it does not settle beneath items and bears weight. Both silicone and water based lubricants can be used with this toy.

The Candy Cane comes packaged in a red, velvet drawstring pouch. It is discreet. This one didn't have bubble wrap with it, which is usually how glass toys comes wrapped by Eden. Still, the brown paper in the shipping box kept the toy from moving around and potentially breaking. The pouch can easily be used as long term storage. This is an okay gifting item.

I've had a few glass toys in my day (like I'm a dinosaur). I think the Candy Cane is the 7th glass toy I have owned. I stack it toward the end of my glass toy collection. It's not that the toy is bad as much as it isn't that awesome. For example, one of my favorites is the nubby G wand. It is dual ended, versatile, and offers lots of options for play. The Candy Cane, in contrast, it pretty monotone. It's a cute item during the holidays and playtime then, but it's more fun to look at than use. At least for me.

Still, for the price I got it, it was a good deal. If anything, you got yourself a decoration!
