When this small realistic bent dildo arrived, I laughed. I mean, it said small, yeah, but I was just picturing something maybe a little less intimidating than the ones you see in porn.
I've never tried a dildo before. The thought of something that brings vibrating sensations over something stationary that just goes in and out trumped the latter. But, I figured I'd give it a go.
It is a good replica of an average penis. It has all the grooves and curves that real ones have. The insertable length of 4.5 inches and diameter of 1 1/8 inches did nothing for me. The length I can deal with, but I am a woman who appreciates girth.
It does have a strong suction to mount it places, but then again, there are vibrators that suction so you can mount them as well.
Now, this isn't to say that this should be pulled from the market and banned in 50 states, because it would probably be a really great start for serious beginners in the sex toy world and virgins because they wouldn't know any better, right?
It would probably be good for someone the opposite of me, who doesn't appreciate the stimulation and movements of vibrators, because we know everyone's different and has their preferences. Maybe this was just not the "right" dildo to lure me into the dildo-verse.
I'd be really interested in the comments to see your feedback on dildos versus vibrators.
I will say that the packaging is very durable and great for storage. It is made of smooth silicone material which is one of the safest materials that sex toys are made out of. It's easy to clean using a mild dish soap. It is also non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, made of food-grade material and latex free.
It is also O-ring compatible with harnesses.
Another thing that's probably more personal preference, but I don't like black, brown or white sex toys that would resemble the color of a real penis. I'm not really sure why, but it could have to do with exes and if I got something that closely resembled an old boyfriend, I would be completely turned off and not want to use it. You can't go wrong with colorful ones because unless you've dated a smurf, you're never going to associate a blue toy with bad memories.

Also, I don't feel you need to be a virgin to like a smaller toy. I prefer toys between 1 and 1.5" in diameter. That's just my preference for what works with my body though. I don't feel that it's an issue of "knowing better" either, that's almost a little rude. I find large toys to be uncomfortable and sometimes painful because that's just the size of my body.
