I suffered a little police brutality from this Sergeant!

The Sergeant's combination of girth, texture and firm material turned out to be not only overwhelming, but actually painful for me. This is not a beginner toy. If you're looking for intense sensations, the Sergeant might be right up your alley.

Use

The Sergeant is a dildo made by Tantus. It seems to be marketed towards men, while the Rascal (the same toy, but with a bullet hole and girlier colours) is geared towards women. The Sergeant's base makes it harness compatible and anal-safe. I would recommend it to advanced users who already know they love thicker, textured toys- especially if you're planning on using this anally.

I bought the Sergeant about a year ago, as a beginner. I wanted something that was a bit thicker than my other toys, but not too long, to use almost like a vaginal plug and leave in place while I used a clit toy. I didn't know how I felt about texture, but didn't think that would matter much since I didn't plan on thrusting. The Sergeant turned out to be way too much for me.

Material / Texture

Silicone is a safe, hygienic material. It's non-porous, phthalate free, and hypoallergenic. The Sergeant is made of a fairly firm silicone. It isn't very flexible and doesn't have much give. The silicone has a shiny finish, unlike most of my silicone toys. I found that the Sergeant tends to pick up more dust and lint than my matte toys do, and doesn't hold onto silicone as well, so I have to be careful when applying lube so it doesn't drip off and make a mess. The surface has a lot of drag, but once it's lubed up the material feels very smooth and slippery. The tip and base of the toy are smooth, but the shaft has deep, closely spaced ribs that provide an intense sensation.

Design / Shape / Size

The Sergeant is wider and shorter than average, with a 4 1/2 inch insertable length and a 5 1/2 inch circumference. The length is fine for me, but it's too thick to be pleasurable, or even comfortable for me. The tip is rounded, but isn't really tapered. The shaft has a slight curve, and in combination with the girth, it can provide pressure to the g-spot or prostate. I can't speak to harness use, but I found that the base made a good handhold.

Performance

The Sergeant really didn't work well for my body. When I got it I had never tried anything larger than 4 1/2" circumference, and had never used a textured toy. I have since learned that any sort of texture (even condoms) are painful for me. I also know now that my limit for circumference is 5 1/4”.

I had a hard time inserting the tip. It's pretty blunt and seemed to get wide really fast. With most of my toys, it's smooth sailing once I get the tip in. With the Sergeant, after finally managing to get the tip inside me, I had to contend with the ribbed texture. I managed to work it inside very slowly, but it was painful. Once I got it in, I tried to relax then used a vibrator on my clit hoping that my body would adjust to the size. The dildo was very filling, and put pressure on my g-spot but although the pain faded I still felt uncomfortably stretched throughout my session. After I finished I laid there for a while trying to put off having to pull it back out and deal with the texture again.

A year and several attempts later, my experience with the toy hasn't changed. I kept trying it, thinking that with more experience I would get used to it. I know that many people use toys larger than this one, and I've heard about how stretchy the vagina is, but apparently my body can't accommodate larger sizes comfortably.

Care and Maintenance

Tantus dildos are boilable, bleachable and dishwasher safe, so they can be sterilized if you would like to share with a partner or use the toy both vaginally and anally. For day to day cleaning, the Sergeant can be washed with soap and water or toy cleaner. Since it attracts dust, I keep it stored in a toy pouch. Silicone lubes can damage silicone toys, so perform a spot test on the base first or stick to water or oil based lubes.

Personal comments

This toy appears to have been discontinued, but I had written most of my reviews several months ago and decided to complete and publish my draft anyways. If you think you would enjoy this design, the Rascal is still available on the Tantus closeout page for only $20.

Your description of this is like how Randy is for me. Too bad the similarly ribbed, but smaller Purr isn't available anymore. That might work for you.

I love my Rascal intensely. Its insanely good for me.

Tuesday- I don't think any ribbed toys would work for me, even ribbed condoms are too much. I'm just not a fan of texture.

Antipova- If you like a lot of texture I'm sure you'll love it.

I'm sorry this one didn't work out for you I'm not a fan of texture, either, so if there's so much as a bump, I try to steer clear.
