I am Raptor, hear me roar!
My Raptor was presented in the typical plastic Tantus packaging. Removing the heavy beast from its plastic cage, I was instantly aware of its powerful and masculine presence. This is a mean-looking dildo, and is not for the faint of heart. It's solid, durable, and thick. It is the thickest dildo in my sex toy collection. It's actually the smaller version of the T-Rex so if, like me, you're not a Size Queen it would be in your best interest to opt for the Raptor instead.

Pros
Fulfilling girth. Safe material. Harness compatible. Waterproof.
Cons
Attracts lint easily. Can be a little tricky to clean.
The Raptor measures about 8 inches in length from the tip of the head to the bottom of the flared base, with 5 inches of those being insertable. The widest part of the head has a circumference of 6 inches whilst the slimmest part of the shaft has a girth of 5 inches. The part of the dildo which features the scrotum measures just over 8 inches in circumference and the flat base has a diameter of 2.5 inches. It's the biggest toy in my collection and here is a size comparison with my other Tantus toys, my Echo and Tsunami.
The bulbous head and the base of the Raptor are quite shiny, whereas the rest of the dildo is in more of a matte style. There are ridges around the head which replicate the corona and the frenulum, adding realism to the dildo along with molded scrotum and some vein detailing on the shaft. The veins form a Y shape, but they are too low down on the shaft to be felt during insertion and are purely for aesthetic value.
There is very limited flexibility in the shaft of this dildo. The head of the penis and the balls are particularly firm. I would not like to be hit in the cervix by this monster of a dildo, but thankfully the scrotum prevents that from happening. They also make it safe to insert anally if one desires.
The base of the Raptor, which is inscribed with the Tantus logo, is harness compatible. Though I don't have any need for this feature, I enjoy being able to use the base as a handle during play as it makes it easy to grip and control.
There is a lot of drag to the material and, with it being so thick, it requires quite a lot of lubricant. I would suggest sticking with water-based lubricant since silicone lubricant should be avoided with silicone toys.
Cleaning the Raptor is fairly simple, which is great seeing as how it's such a lint magnet. As the whole thing is made from silicone and there are no electrical components to worry about, it can easily be boiled for about 5 minutes or thrown into your dishwasher. There are a lot of toy cleaning solutions and cleaning wipes on the market, too. There is also the option of using more traditional methods, such as warm, soapy water. My only concern when cleaning my Raptor in this way is that the ridges on the head of the dildo can collect dirt easily and be tricky to clean, as can the Tantus logo on the base, so they require extra attention.

Experience
The girth of the Raptor makes it a little bit difficult to insert, but once inside it feels very fulfilling. The ridges where the head meets the shaft provide some mildly pleasurable sensations, but overall I find that I can't climax using this dildo alone. When accompanied by clitoral stimulation, however, climax comes quickly.
Follow-up commentary
7 months after original review
With a lot of preparation and patience I can work up to the large girth of the Raptor but ultimately I'm not a fan of oversized toys like this, especially ones that are so firm, so this is one that gets left at the bottom of my storage box.
