Hand Crafted Pleasure Wand
The Cobalt wand is an impressive glass toy that would work for beginners and advanced toy connoisseurs alike. The stunning appearance and versatility of this piece are well worth the price tag. Although I wanted the wand to have slightly more girth, I would still recommend Cobalt for the rest of its amazing features.

The Cobalt wand is a beautifully crafted glass pleasure wand that can be used for either vaginal or anal stimulation or as a body massager. The slim end is has an interesting wavy texture that feels great anally and would be perfect for beginners. The larger end has a series of swells that feel great as an anal probe or are useful for kegel exercises. This wand is also amazing for temperature play and overall body massage.
Cobalt is made of food grade Pyrex glass that has a safety rating of 10. This wand is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and phthalates free. Glass can be used with water, silicone, or oil based lubricant safely.
The texture differs at either end. The slimmer end has a raised wavy texture, while the larger side has a smooth bulbous texture. Either end can be used as a handle, but when inserting this toy anally using the larger end, make sure you don't insert it all the way. The slim wavy end has an iridescent paint on the swirls. This can vary from wand to wand; my wand has more silvery white than Eden's pictures show. It's a beautiful contrast from the deep cobalt blue on the rest of the wand. Cobalt is 9 inches long with a circumference of 4" and 1 1/2" diameter. This is a relatively light wand, weighing in at only 0.3 lbs.
This is one of the easiest toys to clean and care for. Like all glass, Cobalt can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, or alcohol. It can also be sanitized by boiling for a few minutes if you plan on sharing it.
My Cobalt wand came in a makeshift Styrofoam tube that was taped together. Though the package was not useful it did get my wand to me intact. Since it is a delicate glass piece, it should be kept in an individual pouch or case where it can't be chipped or broken.

Experience
I purchased Cobalt over a year ago and haven't used it much until recently. I got fed up with using it only as an anal dildo by inserting the swirly end. For me, the diameter was too slim and I wanted more. I didn't realize at the time that this toy has so many more uses. Now that I am an Eden reviewer, I try to experiment and look for the versatility in toys. It has made me enjoy this wand so much more. I love using it for foreplay as an all over massager. The bulged end is great for anal, but my favorite use is warming up with the wavy textured end and switching to the bulged end. Cobalt has definitely moved up to the top of my toy box lately.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I still like Cobalt as a warm up toy and use the larger end for G-spotting. It's a really beautiful piece in my collection and I can't see myself ever getting rid of it.

Be careful using this for anal, it lacks a flared base.

This one is so pretty. It was sold here, then it said discontinued and now it seems as if it may possibly be coming back? I had it on my wish list but took it off when it said it was discontinued. I will just put it back on the list!

I hope it does come back. Definitely worth getting!

I guess I jumped the gun I went to set an alert for when it comes back in stock and I don't have the option, that usually means that it won't be offered here anymore. Darn! I knew I should have snatched it up sooner.
