Get Ready for a Bumpy Ride
Tantus’ Deuce 1 is a jack-of-all-trades vibrator. It’s great with a harness or without. The design means you can easily use it as both a vibrator or dildo. If you choose to explore the latter option, there’s the added bonus of using the vibrating bullet for clitoral stimulation while using the dildo for vaginal stimulation.

Pros
Flexibility of using the dildo and bullet together or separately.
Cons
Difficult to remove bullet once inserted.
The Deuce 1 stands out immediately for its flexibility – both in terms of material and in terms of use. When it comes to the material, the silicone has a firm, velvety texture. There’s just enough give to make penetration comfortable, but not so comfortable you feel like you’re playing with a wet noodle.
When it comes to its use, the Deuce provides a wide range of possibilities. It's excellent for use in a harness with its wide base and flexible (but not too flexible) shaft. That wide base also allows a solid grasp when the Deuce is being used as a standard vibrator. Finally, it’s also possible to remove the inner vibrating bullet, turning this vibrator into a dildo.
For those who have seen the Transformers series or film… I like to consider the Deuce 1 the Autobot of sex toys.
The one-touch vibrator that accompanies the dildo is powered on three watch batteries that pack a considerable wallop considering their size. The vibrations aren’t numbingly powerful, but neither are they too soft to be noticed. The only consideration to keep in mind is that the vibrations are all or nothing. There is no control mechanism that can adjust the strength of the vibrations.
The density of the silicone allows the vibrations to be felt throughout. While that certainly adds to the Deuce’s functionality, it also presents a real challenge for cleaning. The manufacturer recommends that you put a dab of lubricant on the bullet before inserting it into the Deuce’s base. Follow their advice! Without that little addition, the bullet is very difficult to remove.
When you remove the bullet or choose not to insert it at all, the Deuce 1 becomes a dildo. Didn’t I say it was an autobot? The hole at the base where you would ordinarily insert the vibrating bullet becomes an excellent place to rest your finger while thrusting it in and out. Alternatively, grasp the easy-to-hold base and thrust that way.
Penetration itself is entirely unique given how pronounced the Deuce’s ridges are. Most ridged vibrators gravitate towards the 'more is better' school of thought and have consecutive ridges along the entire shaft.
Not so with the Deuce.
Instead, the Deuce offers two very, very pronounced ridges. Aesthetically, they give the Deuce a bit of a saggy pantyhose look, but that simply adds to its charm. In use, they’re less noticeable against the vaginal wall and very easily felt against the pelvic bone. The presence of two ridges only permits that sort of over-the-top friction one ordinarily associates with ridges when there’s very rapid thrusting. If you forgo slow and steady penetration for rapid jack-hammering, you’ll definitely get the stimulation from the friction against the vaginal entrance. Without rapid thrusting, you'll feel a more pronounced bumping against your pelvic bone.
If you’re using the Deuce as a dildo, consider combining it with clitoral stimulation through the vibrating bullet.
Although silicone toys can last a lifetime, vibrators can wear down. The vibrator takes three watch batteries and is waterproof. Tantus also sells these vibrating bullets separately, should you need to replace it entirely.
Like all silicone products, the Deuce is spectacularly easy to clean – soap and water, boiling, dishwasher, etc. Be sure to remove the bullet, though, before you start cleaning! Also, keep in mind that silicone vibrators/dildos cannot be used with silicone lubricant. If you are looking for that touch of gliding power, turn to water or oil based lubricants.

Thank you for viewing Deuce 1 – dildo review page!
I own the Deuce 1 and I find the lower of the two ridges painful. I'm glad it works for you.
