Having spent alot of time debating over whether or not to invest in a VixSkin toy, It wasn’t too long after our first investment in buying the VixSkin Mustang that I was hooked and decided that I absolutely had to own its bigger brother Maverick too.

Packaging:

The packaging the Mustang arrives in is actually a bit of a departure from traditional sex toy packaging. Rather than a plastic or cardboard box the toy arrives in a clear plastic tube with the Vixen logo on the front and some information about the VixSkin material the toy is made from. It is capped at either end by thicker pieces of black plastic. The toy just sits loose inside the tube but as it is so soft on the outside it doesn’t matter that it can bounce about a bit. All in all I am pretty impressed with this style of packaging, it is even ideal for long term storage of the toy too.



First Impression:

The Maverick is made from VixSkin Silicone which is a semi-organic polymer. This material gets a lot of good feedback and once out of the packaging I can see why. It is a skin analogue like cyberskin but retains all the hygienic properties of silicone. This means that it is non-porous, latex and phthalate free. Basically this means it won’t take in or absorb any bodily fluids in use.

At first it can have a strangely soft feel to it. If you didn’t know it was VixSkin you might think it was jelly or some other lower end material as it can feel almost sticky to the touch but it is completely made of silicone, with just different firmnesses of silicone used.



The softness and malleability of this silicone is astounding. You can actually grip the soft outer layer and twist it a little around the more solid core. The Maverick is available 6 different varieties; Caramel, Green, Pink, Chocolate, Tie-bright and Vanilla. Needless to say that is a pretty broad range of colours as compared to many other toy ranges. It’s great as you can pick something that appeals to you whether it be a realistic tone or a bold and bright colour. The colour we chose was green to match our green Mustang.

The base of the green Maverick is white and is substantially more solid than the rest of the toy. The white silicone of the base is actually pretty dazzling and reminds me of the vibrating Vixen Leo with its shimmering appearance. Unlike its smaller brother the Mustang, the base of the Maverick features a suction cup which is pretty effective.

In terms of size/shape, the Maverick is most certainly on the large side. If you are aware of who the Hulk is then there is no way you can see the green version of the Maverick without thinking that this is what a Hulk penis would look like!

In use/ Experience:

The design of the Maverick is semi realistic, shaped mostly like a normal but large penis with a decent curve but in addition to the normal ridged head it has a bump about an inch further down the shaft which resembles a large skin fold. If this were a more solid toy this could make it a little uncomfortable to use but as it has such a soft outer layer we weren’t really worried.

Using a smaller dildo as a warm up is a good idea before attempting the Maverick. Having warmed up with the Smaller Mustang I was ready to swap for this girthier green ‘Vixen Creation’. The soft and smooth head of the Maverick is surprisingly manageable. The squishiness of the material means that it has alot of give to it and is more forgiving than firm silicone toys of this girth.

The pronounced head ridge is felt during use but not to any point where it becomes uncomfortable and the ‘skin fold’ further down the shaft is quite comfortable too. The soft silicone has an interesting realistic feel and stimulating texture and the soft material allows you to challenge your size limit without feeling sore or bruised from rough play or rigorous thrusting.

Having tested my size limits with much firmer toys I feel this would have been a better toy to have done that with. The head of the Maverick is particularly soft allowing you to take a greater girth than with a firmer toy.

Even without thrusting, the Maverick is a thoroughly filling and breathtaking girthy beast that fits the curves of your body and leaves you feeling like you have never been so satisfying filled before.

While we did’nt use the Maverick anally I can safely say I think it would be a great toy for anal use. It is very soft and forgiving while still being hygienic and safe. It has a solid base with a flare so you don’t have to worry about losing it. As long as you can manage the size I can imagine a surprisingly comfortable anal play session from this big but squishy hulkster dildo.

The base would also double for harness use. There is a small bit of extra hard base where you could attach an o-ring harness. You would likely need at least a 2 inch o-ring instead of the standard 1.5 inch.



Material/ care:

In terms of care you can treat this as you would any silicone toy. This means that you can boil it in a pan to sterilise it if you want or even throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher. For normal cleaning after use I find warm water and mild antibacterial soap or specialist toy cleaner works well. Natural juices can dry on to the material but they come away really easy with a little gentle rubbing under warm running water.

Once it is clean make sure you dry it thoroughly before storing it. You can store it in the plastic tube it arrives in but if space is at a premium (and with us and our 50+ dildo collection it is); we find a zip-seal sandwich bag works best for a number of reasons. It takes up no additional space and it keeps the toy free from dust/dirt and lint which this toy collects like crazy! But probably the best reason to store it in a sealed bag is to keep other toys from reacting with or damaging the material.
