Perhaps it's the glass snob in me, but the Blossom G just misses its chance to be a 5 star dildo. There are so many benefits to glass from temperature play to the ability to be sterilized, but many of those benefits translate from one glass toy to the next. In order to stand out, a glass toy really needs to have something superior in terms of design, and I just didn't see that here. This design is just a little too familiar.

Can Be Sterilized Temperature Play Compatible With All Lubes Some Texture
Cons
Not Enough Girth *for some* Not Enough Curve To Reach G-spot *for some*
The Blossom G obviously has not one, but two curves to it. At first glance, I'm sure this was intended to reach the g-spot, especially since there are little glass bumps of texture coming down from what I will refer to as the "top" or the end with the tapered head (versus the bulbed end). However, I think my g-spot is located at an average depth and location, and neither of the curves were extreme enough to provide a good g-spot stimulation. That being said, the best use of this toy for me is the stimulation from turning this dildo while it is inserted. Otherwise, the little dots do provide some nice texture for some cautious thrusting (remember that glass can easily bruise the cervix if thrusted too hard). As for any additional uses, there isn't a flared base, so I wouldn't recommend this for anal (though I know some of you will ignore this, it's still a necessary disclaimer). I'd also suggest using only a small amount of lube or if possible only your own lubrication since glass can get slippery, which could lead to several issues or even an accident. Also, if you're a fan of double penetration, the Blossom G is small enough (and its curve isn't too intense) for vaginal use during double penetration with an anal-safe toy in your bottom. However, if your partner is the other "toy," it might be wise to use something with a little more give in case of slips. Finally, glass is always good for temperature play, though it's wise to go with either warm or cold during a play session since glass that is subjected to temperature changes too quickly can break.
The Blossom G is listed as Pyrex glass, which is well-known for its use in kitchens because it can withstand pretty extreme temperatures. That being said, it is not meant to go from very cold to very warm or vice versa. In fact, I recently read a few news articles where families have had the Pyrex bakeware shatter after being sat on a cool surface straight out of the oven. Now, I know that you aren't going to warm the Blossom G to 350 degrees and then subject it to a 70 degree vagina, so no worries. Still, always be careful when warming glass at all for temperature play to avoid burns. Pyrex glass is a ten on the safety scale. That's because it is non-porous and can be sterilized. Glass also has no smell or taste, which is great for those who have sensitive noses like myself. This is a very rigid material though, and for that reason, it can be a bit intimidating for new users. Thrusting too hard with glass can bruise the cervix. The Blossom G is not a realistic toy with its colorful design, and it actually has very little texture on the glass. However, there are 5 small glass dots down the shaft underneath the top. I wouldn't say that this dildo is too intense for those who are curious about glass, and the texture isn't too intense for beginners. However, to someone who is new to toys in general, glass might not be the best option for a first toy. As for advanced glass users, I think you'll find that there isn't anything that makes this a superior glass toy. It might be quite boring for you when compared to things such as the glass juicer.
The Blossom G is clear, red, yellow, and orange. The texture dots are red, there are red swirls around the shaft, there is an orange flower in the bottom, and there is a red flower in the top. Both of the flowers have yellow centers. There was probably a little too much focus on the coloring and aesthetics of this dildo rather than the function and curve. In other terms, this dildo is what I would call art-focused. The curves could stand to be a bit more angled or intense in order to fulfill the Blossom's g-spot duties. It's also a little slender, and it will in no way, shape, or form, satisfy a size queen. The average user will most likely find it to be a good fit otherwise. The Blossom is not discreet...it's obviously a dildo. I also don't find glass to be particularly great for traveling as it can break, and the last thing you need in your luggage is chunks of glass. That being said, if you do decide to travel with it, I would suggest wrapping it well and preferably in bubble wrap in your carry-on. From Eden:
Length:
9"
Insertable length:
7 1/2"
Circumference:
4 1/2"
Diameter:
1 3/8"
Weight:
11 oz
I'm not sure I'd agree with the insertable length, but perhaps I'm just too scared to get too close to my cervix with a glass toy. As for the weight, glass does tend to be a bit heavier than other toys, which is a pro for some and a con for others. Fun Fact: the average male penis in the United States is also closer to 5.5 inches in length (so this isn't likely to fall short of your needs).
The g-spot function of the Blossom G is just not spectacular, which makes no sense for a dildo with "G" in its name. The texture does well for additional stimulation though, which means it fulfills its function well. I'd like to see more curve and more girth personally. I could even withstand some additional texture. Yes, two functioning sides to a dildo provide twice the fun, but honestly, I'd rather have a flared base. Once again, this is personal preference, as I know that some of you do not partake in anal play. For those of you who do not partake in anal play, this might be exactly what you're looking for. There is no suction cup, and this isn't harness compatible. Overall, I love the dots, and I like the bulbous end. I find the flared top to be small and a bit boring. Some good news is that this dildo is easily figured out unlike some other toys, and it is a long-lasting addition to any toy collection. As always, I am especially appreciative of the temperature play with this dildo. I prefer cool to warm, and since my area has been known to receive blizzard warnings, I don't even have to chill my toys.
Glass is easily cared for. It can be cleaned with toy wipes or cleaner, soap and water, or it can be placed on the top shelf of your dishwasher. It can even be boiled for sanitization...although I'm personally not brave enough to disinfect my glass this way. I'm way too afraid to burn myself on a newly sanitized glass toy. Since glass is breakable, I store mine wrapped in bubble wrap inside of the red velvety pouch that it came in, and I always make sure to pull the drawstring closed and occasionally even knot it if I'm traveling across distances with the toy. Glass, as previously stated, is compatible with all lubricants (oil, silicone, water-based). However, glass needs very very little to no lubricant applied.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it23 days after original review
Oh, G. You don't really impress me, but luckily for you, you're made of glass. It just so happens that the material of this toy gives it some impressive benefits that keep it in the well-rated territory. However, the design is just...meh. I do like the dots that line the shaft, but the shapes of the ends aren't anything new. If I had to choose a toy all over, I'd stick with my glass, but I'd pick something a little more unique.
