The Flowered Friend by Don Wands is a glass dildo. The dildo has a curved shape to it designed for G-spot stimulation, and small raised nubs along the shaft that add texture when you insert the dildo vaginally. You can use this toy solo or with a partner. I would offer a word of caution when using this with a partner, be careful with the speed and force of thrusting. Glass is not a forgiving material and you can bruise the vaginal walls or cervix if you are not careful.

This is also a great toy to have for temperature play. Glass is very conducive to temperature changes, so running this under some warm water or tucking it into the fridge for a little while can change your whole experience.

This toy has a normal girth so it is perfect for beginners who might be scared of overly girthy toys. The textured nubs add a level of sensation when thrusting that you wouldn't get with a smooth toy and my wife loves the texture involved.

The Flowered Friend is made from Pyrex glass and rates a 10 out of 10 on the material safety scale at Eden Fantasys. It is hypoallergenic and used in medical and science fields, as well as in cooking materials. It is completely body safe.

Pyrex is a type of tempered glass that is less dense than normal glass, making it much less likely that it will splinter or shattering. If this were to break it would break in large pieces, and not in small pieces. So you should have no fear of using glass, you won't get a shard of glass breaking off during use. You should always check out glass toys before use and look for any cracks or splinters. If there are you should not use the toy. Do not use cracked/chipped toys because the integrity of the glass is compromised at that point and the rest of the toy would now be susceptible to chipping/cracking. The glass used is very good for maintaining temperature and can be heated or cooled slightly before use without danger of damage.

One of the big selling points for this toy is the texture that is involved. The toy is covered with nubs around the shaft of the dildo. These small, raised nubs create different sensations during thrusting.

The Flowered Friend is a "normal" shaped dildo. It has a bulbous head like that of a normal penis. The Flowered Friend has a curved head that is designed to help stimulate the G-spot. It's measurements are as follows:

The shaft of the dildo is pink with the head being clear glass and the base of the dildo being clear with a flower pattern embedded within the glass at the bottom. There are small nubs that add texture on the shaft of the toy. There are 30 nubs located across the shaft. The pattern looks somewhat haphazard, but it is really 6 rows of 5 nubs located on the shaft. These nubs are slightly raised from the surface of the glass and add a unique sensation to both the vaginal opening and vaginal walls when inserting the dildo and thrusting. My wife is a big fan of texture and loves the texture and sensations that are associated with this toy. People who are sensitive to too much texture might find this toy overwhelming.

The dildo itself is very pretty to look at, like most glass toys. The pink shaft with the cute flower makes it girly, something that my wife really enjoys.

Glass is a lot of fun to use, and it's pretty self-explanatory. The different nubs allow you to thrust at different angles and depths and still experience different feelings of pleasure. The nubs stimulate the inner vaginal walls when thrusting, while the bottom row of nubs are very good for stimulating the vaginal opening.

The dildo has a bulbous head, and with the slight curve it is very good for G-spot stimulation. Every woman's G-spot is a little different, so results aren't guaranteed, but this had a very good angle for G-spot stimulation with my wife.

I would be leery about recommending this toy for anal use. The base of the dildo is not flared and I would be a little worried that this toy could be lost if using anally. Glass is very easy to clean and care for. You can boil this for complete disinfection, wash it with warm water and soap, use toy cleaner, toy wipes or antibacterial wipes. You can even run this through the dishwasher if you would like. There is no real wrong way to clean this toy I believe.

You can use any type of lubrication that you wish with this toy. Water-based and silicone lubricants would both work fine with this toy, as the integrity of the toy will not be degraded if you use silicone-based lubricant.

You should take some care with how you store this toy. It is a beautiful and sturdy little toy, but if you were to drop it I would bet that it break rather easily. I would store it in a padded bag or pouch. There is no storage pouch included from Don Wands so you will need to either use something you already have or order a separate storage bag to keep this dildo safe. I also would not store multiple glass toys together because as they bump against each other there could be some damage done to the toys. Once in a pouch or bag it would be very easy to store in a toy chest or a night stand.

Otherwise storage is very easy, once safely tucked away in a pouch you can store this in any toy drawer, night stand, or even tuck it away in a suitcase for travelling.

The Flowered Friend arrives in a cardboard box, with clear plastic so that you can see the toy through the case. Inside of the box is a clear plastic clamshell where the toy can be seen throughout the packaging.

The box has the company name and talks about the benefits of glass toys. On the side of the box is a picture of several of the glass toys in the Don Wands collection. You open the top of the packaging and remove the plastic clamshell, which houses the actual dildo. The clear plastic on the front of the box allows one to see the dildo inside, so this is not discreet at all. If you are giving this as a gift everyone will know what you are giving. It is a tasteful package, just not very discreet.

The plastic is designed to perfectly hold the dildo and has a top to the plastic so that it can be opened and closed as needed. You could use this clamshell for storage if you want, the plastic does hold the dildo nicely, although it is very large for storage in a toy drawer. I am storing this in the packaging at the moment while waiting for a protective bag to arrive.

We love this toy. This is the third piece from Don Wands that we have purchased in the last month or so and have been impressed with each item. The slight curve for G-spot stimulation combined with the textured nubs has made this a toy that my wife is really enjoying. This would be a great toy for those who are just beginning to experiment with glass play, or for more advanced users who are looking for an interesting textured toy. Overall, we really like it.
