Five? One Will Do Just Fine
This dildo from Wet For Her is slim, sturdy, and would be excellent for those who are just starting to get into penetrative play. It's narrow girth and smooth matte finish make it easy to take vaginally or anally, and it's base is wide and thick enough to hold easily and balance well when strapped on. It's like having a big silicone thumb at your disposal.

Pros
Accessible size, great for anal, velvety finish, unique conical base, boilable
Cons
Lint magnet, middle seam
Some toys are Goliath. This one is David. But sometimes, that is exactly what's called for. A well-designed, modestly sized dildo is an asset to any collection, and this one fits that mold to a T.
The Five (small) by Wet For Her (love the company name) comes in an appropriately sized cardboard box with a plastic insert, not reusable for storage but not excessive packaging either. The box tells us that it is a "non-phallic pleasure product" designed in Paris and "specifically created for those who identify as lesbian, bi-sexual, and/or queer." While it is always nice to be marketed towards and considered in the design process, I would have preferred that they let the non-phallic nature of the product speak for itself and not make built-in assertions about what a large, diverse group of customers would prefer. Plenty of queer women like realistic and phallic toys, and I suspect plenty of people from all genders and orientations will enjoy this non-phallic toy. The tasteful imagery on the box can stay though.
It is made with 100% food grade silicone, so it is hypoallergenic, body safe, nonporous, and phthalate-free. The silicone is firm with slight give. The surface is odorless, tasteless, and has a matte finish that is lovely to the touch and not at all tacky. There is a seam running down the middle on each side, all the way through the base. Although this seam cannot be felt during use, it does look like a place that would need to be scrubbed during cleaning to keep bacteria from hiding inside. There is a small indented "Wet For Her" logo around the edge of the base, which is nice and subtle but will also need to be scrubbed as well.
The shape is very smooth and indeed lacks any phallic details. No head, no ridges, and no realistic colors. It looks far more like a thumb than a cock. With a 1" diameter and 4.75" of insertable length, this is an extremely accessible size for just about anyone to take. It would be excellent for someone who prefers less girth, and is the ideal size for introductory penetration play. Being so smooth and sterilizable also makes it great for anal. Silicone lube will damage this toy, so stick with water based. With a bit of lube there is no significant drag during use.
With only a slight curve and narrow girth, hitting the G-spot or P-spot probably won't happen effortlessly. It can certainly be done with skillful angeling and good communication, just don't expect the same ease that you'd get with larger or more drastically curved toys. But it is far more bendable than a thicker dildo made of the same material would be.
The best thing about the shape is the base. Unlike a lot of toys, where the base just extends flat and perpendicular to the end of the insertable portion, the Five's shaft gradually flares into a wide, conical shaped base that is easy to hold and incredibly well-balanced in a harness. It will fit into O-rings that would otherwise be too large for a toy of a similar size but with a flat base. The length is a bit short to stay in during hard and fast fucking, but with such a slim girth and no head there has been no trouble with withdrawing completely and re-entering with each thrust, at least vaginally. When using this toy anally, slow and steady is a better bet.
Despite being less phallic, the Five isn't exactly discreet and is still easily recognizable as a dildo. It is easy to store and travel with, as long as you find a way to protect it from sharp objects and materials that might react with silicone. It can be cleaned by boiling, wiping down with diluted bleach, or putting it through a soapless dishwasher cycle. With proper care, the Five should last a very long time.

Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
The Five is proving to be a very very useful toy. It's great to have a less-than-phallic option around, and it has never failed to be an asset for anal play. The base allows me to use it in any harness I happen to choose. The seam doesn't bother me as much as it once did because it is very shallow. Love this little guy!
