The Rainbow G is another great dildo from SSA glass. It offers a nice curved shaft for g-spot (or possibly p-spot) stimulation and a nubbed texture for additional sensation. This is a fun toy to add to any collection.
The Rainbow G is a pretty glass dildo that features a curved body and different colored nubs. The curved shaft is designed to help users reach the g-spot. Although I did not try this one anally because of the texture, the flared base makes it safe for anal use and the curve could possibly work for p-spot stimulation. The multiple colored nubs add to the sensation, but may be too much when used with fast motions. Glass is very firm, and this toy is on the longer side, so care should be used when thrusting so that you don't hit the cervix or hurt any delicate tissue.
Glass is one of the safest sex toy materials available. It is completely non porous and is free of harmful chemicals. With that being said there is no smell or taste, although glass toys are not the best for practicing oral on because of the firmness. Because it is so firm, it works well for providing firm pressure wherever you desire it.
The nubs on this one are positioned on both the front and the back of the shaft. They are small and there are a good amount of them. When inserted (at least the way that I chose to position mine) the nubs stimulate the sides of the vagina. Depending on how fast I was moving the Rainbow G, the nubs either felt good or got a bit more irritating. I like texture on my toys, but for some reason the texture on this one wasn't as enjoyable every single time I used it. I think it was because the nubs were so small, as I am used to larger nubs on my glass toys. A small amount of additional lube makes things better, so as long as you don't hate texture of any kind then you will enjoy the nubs.
The shaft of the Rainbow G has a gentle curve to it that is on target for hitting my g-spot. This will probably vary for different users depending on how much of a curve you need. The drop off from the head to the shaft is not large, so there is no concern about a ridge for those sensitive to that. I like the smooth head that transitions to a textured shaft because I like to use the smooth part to get myself ready for full insertion. There is a slightly flared base that makes the Rainbow G safe for anal play.
This Rainbow G is on the longer side of insertable lengths for glass toys at around 7 inches. I do not usually insert the whole length because I don't want to bump my cervix. The head has a diameter of a little less than 1.5 inches, and the shaft is around 1.25 inches in diameter. This is an average sized toy that can be accommodated by users of all levels.
The colors and nubs make this more of an artistic looking piece than a realistic one, but I am pretty sure that everyone can tell it is a glass representation of a penis. My suggestion is to keep it hidden from those that you don't want knowing you own/use sex toys. I wouldn't recommend traveling with this unless you have a nice padded bag to protect it.
The Rainbow G is a great glass dildo that lives up to the "G" in its name. The curve of this one is different than my other glass toys because it curves in the middle and it feels good whether it is being used right side up, or upside down (if you can tell which way is which). The head rubs my g-spot nicely and the shaft also works to keep the head pressed against my g-spot. While this is going on, the nubs can be felt on the sides of my vagina and also near the opening. Depending on the way I have this one inserted I can also feel the nubs on my clitoris. Overall, I am more than glad that I finally gave the Rainbow G a try.
Like all other glass toys, the Rainbow G is very easy to care for. It can be washed with soap and water, toy cleaner spray or wipes and can be sanitized by boiling or using a 10% bleach solution. This makes it safe to share between partners and also between orifices.
Glass is compatible with water based, silicone, and oil lubricants, so whatever you choose will be fine.
I keep my Rainbow G stored in the red velvet bag that was included, although this does not provide the best protection.
Like most of my toys from SSA Glass, the Rainbow G came wrapped in bubble wrap inside of a thin red storage pouch. There are no instructions that come with it, but I guess with most glass dildos there is not much to learn in regards to how to use it. The packaging is discreet because no one will necessarily know what is inside of your bag.
For some reason I had a couple of experiences with the Rainbow G that were only "ok" because the texture irritated me, this has not happened since and I am not sure why it happened. With that being said, this may be an issue for those who do not like a lot of texture, or when thrusting very quickly. I have learned to use slower movements with the Rainbow G and this is a lot more enjoyable. If I want to use quick motions then I just add some more lube. Aside from those few times, the Rainbow G has been a lot of fun to use!
Follow-up commentaryI still like it2 months after original review
The Rainbow G is a glass toy that I still enjoy using. I actually think I have started to like it more and more because the curve is a bit different and more fun than some of my other glass toys. As long as nubs don't bother you, then this is a good one to try out!
