The Ella by Lelo is a double ended dildo. One end has a flatter head for g-spot stimulation and the other has a bit more of a point to it. The dildo can be used alone or with a partner. I had trouble due to the length of my arms versus length of my torso in getting this to work well for me solo. I much prefer to have my husband use it on me. As there are 2 ends I feel that this dildo can be used by beginners as well as advanced users; if one end is too much save it and work up to it. I personally would not use this dildo anally due to the shape of it but I would image the pointier end could be if you really wanted to try it. Ella does not have a lot of flexibility to her so until you get used to how she feels you should take caution in thrusting with the G-spot head so ensure you do not bruise your pubic bone.

Ella is made of Silicone which rates a 10 out of 10 on the Eden's Safety Scale. Silicone is latex free and hypo-allergenic. Ella is quite the lint magnet though, even laying her on my comforter she very quickly picked up the lint that was on there. There is no added texture to Ella, she is velvety smooth. I did not notice any smell to the dildo upon opening the package.

Ella measures approx 7 inches in length and has a circumference of 4 inches. The size is average for other g-spot dildos that I have. I find this to be a good size that works great. I would not consider this to be a discreet toy, nor would I consider it to be realistic. It would be a nice travel toy as you can slip it in your bag and not have to worry about batteries or accidently turning it on.

This dildo met my expectations and surpassed them. I think the flat head on the G-spot end is good in that it is a bit bigger than others and allows for easier finding of the G-spot. The other end is nice for gentle thrusting as well. The only thing that would have made this dildo better would have been if it vibrated.

Silicone can be cleaned in a variety of ways; soap and water, toy cleaner, or a simple wipe down with a wipe. There are no grooves or ridges to worry about with this dildo. For storage I keep mine in a plastic bag as to keep the lint off of it. Being silicone you should only use water based lubes with it to ensure there is not a chemical reaction.
