This beautiful toy is a pink, double ended s-shaped glass dildo with two different textures: bumpy and spirals. It is best used vaginally. The toy's curves and textures are some what prominent and are especially great for g-spot stimulation. Since the toy is made of glass, you need very little lube with the toy, which is good because if you use too much it can be difficult to hold on to the toy properly. Glass is also a great material for temperature play, but before using it this way test the temperature against your wrist to make sure that it will be comfortable for internal use. I would not recommend that it be used anally since even thought it is long and ridged, it does not have a flared base. I would also recommend that users take care since glass is very rigid and has no give, so when thrusting it's easy to get carried away and bruise yourself.
This lovely toy is made of pink tinted borosilicate glass (also known as pyrex glass), which is resistant to shatter and rates a 10 out of 10 on the Edenfantasys safety scale. It is not indestructible, but if it does break, it is unlikely to shatter, and will instead break into large chunks. I received my toy in excellent condition as it was perfectly clear. I did notice a couple very tiny bubbles, but there were no cracks or surface imperfections on the entire toy. I recommend that you inspect any glass toys for these after you receive them, and before every use.
This toy has no odor or taste, feels incredibly smooth, and needs little lube. Pyrex glass is also very firm and has no give whatsoever, so it will feel more girth-y than a toy of similar diameter made of a softer material. The toy is double ended with two different textures, bumps and spirals. The raised portions do not stand out too much, so I would consider this toy a good start if you want to experiment with texture with out overwhelming yourself. However, if you are texture sensitive, this may not be the toy for you.
I really love the design of this toy. The s-curve is not too extreme, allowing one to easily thrust or rock for internal stimulation, which is good both for general stimulation and for getting at the g-spot. The body of the toy is approximately three inches in circumference (just under one inch in diameter), with the bumps and swirls raised between one eight to one quarter of an inch. The heads of the toy are vaguely bulbous with a tapered tip, and are slightly wider at one and a quarter inches in diameter.
The toy didn't feel particularly girth-y; I could feel the texture quite well but, and should fit most users quite well. The toy is not particularly realistic, in fact the only thing that resembles a penis is how the 'heads' are distinct from the 'shaft' of the toy. Also, while the toy is very pretty, it's not particularly discreet. It looks like a sex toy, and I don't think it can be waved away as just being 'art'. Since it's glass and accidents happen, it's not the best toy for travel (however, it has no metal at all, so it could make it past a metal detector if you're worried about that kind of thing).
I really like that the toy offers two different textures. Since there's no give, I can really get some interesting internal sensations that I've never felt with smoother toys. I also love the gentle s-curve of the toy which not only feels comfortable for my body, but also allows the texture to be felt if angled correctly. It also makes the toy very easy to comfortable hold.
This toy is super easy to clean. I just use soap and water to clean it, but a toy cleaner is also fine. Since it is made of borosilicate glass, it can be sanitized it by boiling it for a few minutes. Since the toy is nonporous and made of glass, it has a very high chemical resistance and is safe with basically every kind of lubricant: water-, silicone-, and oil-based alike. Since oil isn't the best for your vagina, I'd recommend sticking with the water or silicone, but you do have the option.
I currently keep the toy stored in the same packaging I received it in (see below), and then have that bag surrounded by some felt in my toy bag, but that's because I love this toy too much to see it damaged by carelessness. If you have any heavy toys (especially those made out of metal), I'd store them away from the Pink Double G. I'm working on a padded pouch that should be much safer for the toy, but until then, the bag and the felt will have to do the job.
This toy came without instruction and wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a thin red pouch. This pouch is thin and offers almost no protection, and the drawstring has to be manually tied so that the toy doesn't slide out. Right now the bubble wrap is bulky enough to keep the toy in, but I wish the pouch was more padded so I wouldn't have to constantly unwrap and re-wrap the toy with bubble wrap when ever I want to look at it or use it.
Because the toy is curved in the middle, and is not really curved at the ends, the toy wasn't the best at getting exact, pinpoint stimulation on my g-spot. Instead I found that I liked angling the toy so that the texture on the "c' part of either end (between the head and the middle) rubbed the area around my g-spot and the anterior wall in general felt much better than trying to get the heads to curve up into the spot.
Also, when I was trying to see if I could get the head to curve up into my g-spot, the lube made the toy so very slippery that the toy slipped deeper into me, which ended up being a happy accident because then I noticed that I could feel the textures on the other end of the toy. I ended up angling the toy so that the curve put the further out texture against the anterior wall, and found it satisfying to just clench and gently rock or thrust the toy.
I also found that the bumpy texture was more noticeable than the swirls, so I like starting with the swirls first and then switching to the bumps.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it4 months after original review
This was my first glass toy, and while my glass collection has greatly expanded, this still holds a special place in my heart and toy bag. The gentle curves were very comfortable, and the two different textures got me hooked onto textured glass toys.
I'm quite sad to see it go, but encourage anyone new to glass to find something similar for their first glass toy.
