This glass dildo gives intense vaginal and G-spot stimulation due to its size and texture. G-spotting is its most obvious use; however, you could use it anally if you like extreme texture (I chose not to use it for anal insertion), or if you like something solid and smooth to suck on (or your partner does), it could be put to good oral use also.

This beautiful toy is best suited to intermediate toy users, who know that they like intense G-spot or anal sensations. Glass dildoes don't give or conform at all to your orifices' curves, and this dildo has a pronounced bend in it, so it's important to be gentle when using it. It's also girthy, with the head on one end and the two balls at the other end all measuring a little more than 1 1/2" diameter. Again, glass is unforgiving, so 1 1/2" in a glass dildo feels quite a bit larger than 1 1/2" in a dildo made of silicone or other softer material.


Glass dildoes are fun to use to experiment with temperature. You can soak this toy in a bowl of cold water for a few minutes, and have a frosty sensation when you use it, or in warm water and have a lovely warmth invade you along with the dildo.

The Icicles No. 18 is made from borosilicate glass, which is a perfect 10 for safety on Eden's Materials Guide. Borosilicate glass has had its crystalline properties changed during manufacturing, so it's much stronger and more temperature-resistant than plain glass. You do not need to worry about this toy shattering during use. Even if you were to drop it on a hard floor, it probably wouldn't break, but if it did it would end up in large pieces rather than small shards.

It feels very heavy in your hand, and anyone who has hand or wrist problems might tire easily when using this toy. The surface is shiny and smooth, and when lube is added it can become very slippery, so be careful not to lose grip on it. The clear glass head on one end is round where the shaft meets it, then it tapers to a slightly pointed end, which helps make insertion easier for this thick toy.

Along the clear shaft are very pronounced blue studs, that are slightly more pointed than round on their tops. They are very stimulating and are large enough to be unpleasant for some, so use this gently when you first try it. There is a fairly sharp bend in the middle of this dildo, perhaps 35 degrees, which helps it give wonderful G-Spot contact.

At the other end are two round bulbs, one transparent and the other with a pretty red glass flower inside. These bulbs should be sufficient as a base for anal use, but always exercise your best judgment when deciding where to use toys.

Icicles No. 18 is about 7 1/2" long. The insertable length is a couple of inches shorter, more or less, depending on which end you insert. The shaft in the center is about 1" in diameter (with bumps that are an additional almost 1/8" tall). The tapered head and the two globes on the other end are each a little over 1 1/2" in diameter. This is a dildo that should please those who like thickness in their toys. The length isn't overly long, but it should be adequate for G-spot use for most people, and having a shorter length means less chance of cervical bruising when you're using a toy like this. As for anal use, you would have to like sizable toys and lots of texture to enjoy using it anally. I did not use it in this way. All in all, this probably isn't a beginner's toy. You would want to start with something smaller and less textured and work your way up to this.


Because this toy is made of glass, it's really beautiful. It would probably not fool anyone into thinking it's not a dildo, but still, its beauty would be admired if it were left out for all to see. It's not the best choice for travel, but if you take it somewhere be sure to pack it well.

I love texture, and G-spot stimulation, and this toy is perfect in those aspects. It's the perfect size and length for me, and I appreciate the beauty of the glass. It is a great intermediate dildo for texture and girth lovers.

This dildo's glass material can be cleaned in any way you choose. You can wash it with soap and water, use toy cleaner and/or toy wipes, or for better sterilization, boil it or put it through a dishwasher cycle.

For storage, make sure it's protected and won't bump or scratch against other glass toys. Many glass toys come with a storage bag or pouch, but this one doesn't.

This toy is packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, with a front that opens up to expose a clear panel that lets you see the toy. It sits inside the box in a custom Styrofoam insert that is cut out in the outline of the toy. You could keep this packaging for storage if you'd like and it would probably last a long time. It would also make a nice gift box, but it is obvious what is inside, so you will want to wrap it before gifting it.
