Pros
Safe materials, Gorgeous, Great for Size Queens/Kings, Can be used as a weapon, Silicone band
Cons
HEAVY, Would hurt if you accidentally dropped it on your toe, Really holds onto cold temperature
First of all, I want to repeat that this is a huge toy. If you prefer slimmer toys or you are new to sex toys, this will not be the one for you. Using something this large before you are ready could result in some serious damage to your body.
However if you love the feeling of being stretched and filled, you could very much fall in love with this dildo.
The thick diameter manages to caress my G-spot despite the lack of a curve. The shaft does host some deep ridges, so be sure you like texture. Also be careful when thrusting. The unyielding material can easily bruise.
Despite the lack of a flared base, some might be adventurous enough to insert this dildo anally. I would not, but to each his own. If you are one of those daring people, please be sure to keep a firm grip on your toy. The silicone band helps lubed fingers keep a grip. The same should be applied if your partner is the one inserting it into you.
As a side note, always make sure you are lubed up enough before inserting this dildo.
This dildo is a triple hit when it comes to material. The shaft and base is composed of aluminum. There is a non-slip, black silicone band about 3/4 of the way down the shaft. On the top and bottom of the silicone band is a small ring of stainless steel. There is also a stainless steel rectangle that sports the Big Teaze Toys logo. This is found on the front of the silicone band. "Dai-Do #3" is also found on the bottom of the toy. None of these materials have a smell or taste. All are non-porous materials. Cleaning instructions are for later.
The aluminum shaft is very slick and shiny. As with most metal toys, lube makes the toy slippery. That is, of course, where the handy non-slip silicone band comes into the picture. To avoid the slip, keep a grip!
There is no area of the dildo that has any give. There is no bending this toy. It could really do some damage if being used as a weapon.
The only texture on the toy is a series of raised ridges (ripples) and deep valleys in between the aforementioned ridges.
Here is where it gets kind of scary. The size of this toy is pretty large. The total length is 8 1/4", and the insertable length is about 5 1/2". The circumference is 5 1/2"! That means that the diameter measures 1 3/4". Let me say it yet again. This thing is not for beginners. A 1 3/4" diameter of unyielding aluminum? It feels larger than it looks. It also weighs in about 2 lbs (the packaging says 1.6 lbs). I said it was a large and in charge type of dildo didn't I?
This dildo features a large round head. It does create a nice popping sensation. The head plus the ridges and valleys can become very uncomfortable if not lubed up enough. The head and ridges might catch on the pubic bone. It really depends on the person's body. It has happened to me once or twice.
If you are a heavy packer when traveling, this could easily be taken on a trip. On the other hand, if you are a light packer I would suggest a different toy.
The design is more discreet than most. It does not have an automatic sex toy look to it, but after a few minutes of looking it will become apparent that this is indeed a dildo.
The Dai-Do #3 is being compared to the Rainbow Mega Nubby by Don Wands in the pictures below.
It took me a long time to warm up to this one. I tried using it for a solo session first. I was sitting in my computer chair with my legs braced on the arm rests. I was not lubed up enough, because it was pretty painful. The ridges hurt, and the head got caught on my pubic bone a few times. After about 20 minutes of trying, I gave up. A couple of weeks later, my husband pulled it out. I was of course apprehensive. I did not want it to hurt again. He made me lay down on my back on our queen size bed, and he proceeded to make sure I was properly lubricated. He slid the cool head in and a sigh escaped my lips. It felt so different that time. He eased the rest of the shaft in, and my thighs trembled. He let my body become accustomed to being stretched and filled. Slow, shallow thrusts soon followed. After a couple of minutes of gentle thrusting and playing with my clit, I could feel my muscles beginning to clench around the now warm metal shaft. My husband sensed this, and he quickened the pace enough to send me over the edge. It was a fun night.
This dildo is great for temperature play, but it seems to hold onto cold temperatures better (longer) than warm or hot temperatures.
Cleaning cannot be more simple. Wash down with warm/hot water, lather up with antibacterial soap, and rinse. You can also use your favorite toy cleaner. Dry off with a soft, cotton towel. Never use any scrubber or abrasive materials to clean your Dai-Do #3. It is not a lint magnet. You can store it in the original packaging, or you can store it in the nice satin pouch it comes with. Either way, be sure to store it somewhere it will not get scratched. As far as lubes go, I would suggest using only water based lubes due to the silicone band.
When cleaning, I suggest paying special attention to the deep valleys and around the silicone band. I have noticed that lubes and other bodily fluids tend to get trapped in those areas.
The packaging is very pretty yet simple.
The front of the box contains information about the dildo. It states that the shaft contains some texture in the form of ripples, is made out of aluminum alloy, can be used for temperature play, and features a non-slip silicone band. This information can be found in three more different languages on the side of the box. When you open the outer packaging, you will pull out a cardboard rectangle. Inside of this outer shell, lies your toy in a velvet lined plastic tray. The satin pouch and booklet of other Big Teaze Toys are located underneath the plastic tray.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore2 months after original review
In the end, I had about two pleasurable experiences total with this toy. It was just too large for me to use comfortably. I now know my limits!
I have since boiled it and it sits in my closet in its' box. I am trying to sell it so I can buy something I can enjoy everyday. I still think it is a high quality toy. It just is not for me.
