Curve sex toy review

Overall, not worth the money for something that just looks pretty and can be slightly painful. Not functional for the average vagina.

I chose to review the Curve dildo by Fun Factory|Curve Dildo by Fun Factory because of its intriguing shape. I also read the previous review, and wanted to see how something so pretty could possibly be so bad.

When I received the dildo in the mail, it was very nicely packaged. It had a thorough ‘how-to’ pamphlet in about 10 different languages. It also had a diagram to show you how the toy is designed to stimulate your G-spot and your clitoris – the area that is designed for clitoral stimulation is a bit strange, and would require that you insert the toy backwards.

Inside the pamphlet, they include a small envelope of lubricant. The lube was quite nice, with a silky feel that didn’t get sticky too quickly.

The overall appearance of the Curve reminds me of something from the movie "Little Mermaid." It has a very magical, sea-creature-esque look. The one that I received was hot pink, and almost appears to glow in the dark. If you’re not a fan of pink, they also offer it in a nice purply blue. The toy is 100% silicone, so this makes it super easy to clean and disinfect.

There are two textures on the dildo. The one that starts at the head and swirls down, is a high glossy finish. A matte finish is on the rest of the body.

When I got myself ready to try the toy, I remembered reading in the first review that it had a very severe curve. I played with it for a few minutes, and discovered that it was really flexible, and soft. I twisted, turned, and bent it in every way possible. This was great, until I attempted to insert it in my vagina.

The head went in smoothly, but then wouldn’t go much further without putting me in uncomfortable pain. I tried to ‘bend the curve out’, but this just resulted in it popping out of me completely. I breathed for a moment, and tried it once more. Still, it hurt.

I decided to change positions, and insert it from behind. This worked a bit better, but in this position it did not stimulate my G-spot very well, and was hard to maneuver.

This is a nice toy to look at, but is not designed well for the average vagina. I did not try this toy anally, but I might discourage against it. Since it hurt me, I can only imagine what kind of pain I would be in if I used it rectally.

That really sucks! Maybe you could use it as an art piece.

What kind of vagina WOULD it be functional for? They had to test it on somebody to put it out on the market, right? Hmmm..

Good to know you had the same issues; I'll tell our buyer to pass it on to the manufactures, and let them know that they might need to re-work that curve :)

    Playfurl Grrl -  you're right

Blueeyedbitch - it is disappointing, and thanks!

Epiphora - I have thought about using it as an art piece

Shazam! - It might work well for someone with a slightly larger vaginal opening. A comment was left for the first reviewer saying their friend liked it. So it looks like there's hope for someone!

Essin'Em - that would be great!

I actually think the curve and the pronounced head would make this a far superior dildo than others I've tried. It looks pretty fabulous to me.

Clit stimulation with the curve does *not* require inserting the toy backwards. The idea is that you pull the handle toward you while the toy is inside you. That way when you move the dildo in and out you it rubs your clit, too. I had trouble inserting it the first time I tried it, too, but it turns out I just wasn't using enough lube.

"Severity of curve" yeah I'm kinda worried about that.
