The Reflections Cool is a sleek, space-age-looking piece of silvered glass. It provides great stimulation for those with deep, hard-to-reach g-spots, is great for temperature play, and has a swelling curve that provides a satisfying filled feeling. The pointed tip makes insertion easy, but if thrusted too hard, it can be painful, since glass is very rigid.

Pros
Lovely silvered glass, Great for deep g-spots, Swelling curve provides filled feeling
Cons
Annoying retrieval handle, Too girthy for beginners, Pointed tip painful if pressed hard
The Reflections Cool is a glass dildo. It's designed for vaginal insertion as a g-spot dildo. The curved end is meant to reach around and hit that sweet spot hard. The material makes it suitable for temperature play, since glass holds temperatures well. Because glass is so rigid, it may be better suited to solo play since a partner might be less able to maneuver it around the pelvic bone comfortably. With glass toys, there's a danger of bruising the cervix. I didn't find that to be a problem with this toy since I couldn't insert it far enough to hit my cervix because of the S curve before the base. The shape of this toy makes it unsuitable for anal. However, it does have a retrieval string, and I can't think of any reason why it would be there if this toy wasn't intended for anal use.
I was excited to try this one because the silvery finish gives a sleek, space-age look that is gorgeous in real life. It's like a combination between a rocket and a fun house mirror! This was my first glass toy with a g-spot curve. I learned that I had to play more gently with glass toys because the rigidity could be painful for me but the firmness of its ability to hit the right spot was incredible.
This toy is made of e-glass, also known as cyberglass. It has a material safety rating of 10, since it's completely nonporous and can easily be sanitized and shared between partners/orifices without a condom. It is also hypo-allergenic, latex-free, and phthalates-free. It doesn't have any taste or scent. The type of glass used for sex toys is very sturdy. It's not going to break during normal use. It will break if you drop it. If you take care of your glass toys, they will be "taking care of you" for years, and they are the easiest thing to take care of. There is nothing in the material to irritate even the most sensitive of users, and they really only require a quick cleansing with soap and water after use.
The glass has a silvery finish that's very sleek and space-age. I've read that others have concerns about the finish chipping or becoming dark. This hasn't been a concern for me yet, but if it does happen, I'll make sure to write a follow-up review and note that. The finish makes this a gorgeous toy that I am thrilled to add to my glass collection.
Glass has the fun advantage of being suitable for temperature play. This toy can be heated to body temperature by running it under warm water, or cooled by running it under cold water.
The texture of this toy is very smooth, which makes it easy to insert vaginally without any lube. It has no added texture to the surface, which helps with smooth insertion, since this toy is a bit girthy.
This toy is 7 inches long. The product page says that 6 1/2 inches of this toy is insertable. In my experience, only about 4 1/2 inches were insertable due to the S curve right before the toy straightens out towards the base. The part that was insertable for me is a swelling curve with a pointed tip. The shape is meant for g-spot stimulation. The tip definitely hit my g-spot, and the swelling curve gave a satisfying full feeling. At its largest, this toy is 1 1/4 inches in diameter; that would be around the swelling curve I mentioned. The tip is very pointed, which makes initial insertion very easy, but I found the way it hit my g-spot to be poky and not entirely comfortable. The size, rigidity, and shape of this toy make it more of an intermediate-advanced user's toy.
This toy is suitable for travel, since it has no noisy or mechanical parts, as long as it's protected well by being wrapped in cloth or some kind of padding so that it doesn't break. It is rather large heavy, so I wouldn't suggest carrying it around in a purse.
I've tried this toy warm and cold. I love the feeling of cold glass. It held its temperature well for a few minutes, and then warmed to my body temperature.
As I said, only about 4 1/2 inches of this toy is insertable. This left me with plenty of handle to hold onto, which was nice. I have a deep, hard-to-reach g-spot, and this toy was able to reach it. The curve allowed it to press quite hard. I found the pointed tip of the toy rather poky and a little painful even if pressed too hard while thrusting. It worked great if I used it more gently than the way I use other toys, by rocking it gently rather than thrusting hard. In the personal comments section, I'll compare this toy's tip with other g-spot toys I've tried.
The nice swell of the initial curve of this toy gave a wonderfully full feeling during use. Intermediate and advanced users will enjoy this toy's girth around the curve immensely. Beginners might want to start with something smaller.
The downsides to this toy: The handle dangled uncomfortable during use and tickled my butt, which was distracting. I might just cut it off. It's very annoying. This toy is also pretty heavy. It weighs 3/4 pounds. That's not unusual for a glass piece of this size, but for me it meant that my arm gets tired after about 20 minutes of using this toy.
Glass is just about the easiest material to care for. It's easy to wash, and it can be sanitized by soaking it in a bleach-solution or putting it in the dishwasher (top rack, no soap). It's compatible with water, silicone, or oil-based lubricants. I wash it with water and mild soap after each use, as recommended on the materials page linked above. The silvery finish might be delicate, so I wouldn't recommend using anything abrasive for washing this toy.
This toy could be stored in the package, but the packaging is a little bulky for that. I would suggest storing it in a padded pouch, or putting it on display if you so desire.
This material is good for temperature play, but do not put it in the freezer or boil it. Such an extreme change in temperatures might cause it to crack.
This toy comes in a plastic container that opens at the top. The toy can be clearly seen through the packaging. The packaging is really fun and colorful. I would recommend it for a gift, but it's not discreet at all, so it should be wrapped if gifting. There are no erotic pictures on the packaging, just colorful hearts and designs, and some instructions and descriptions of the product's uses. The packaging can be used for storage, but it's rather bulky. I was disappointed that this toy did not come with any kind of a pouch for storage and that the packaging didn't have any kind of padding to protect the toy. It was simply held in place by plastic. Here is a picture of the front of the package:
The Lelo Ella has a wide, flat end for g-spot stimulation, which I personally prefer to the Reflections Cool's pointed tip. It's 100% silicone and less rigid than a glass toy. It's definitely better for a beginner's toy than the Reflections Cool. If you want girth and you want glass, then you'll prefer the Reflections Cool though.
The Sasha Swell Wand is double-ended and straight. I found the end with the larger bulb to be excellent for g-spot stimulation. It's smaller in girth than the Reflections Cool. It's also glass. It is the toy I recommend for beginners to glass, especially since it was my first glass toy. However, the bulb may not do it for those who require hard g-spot stimulation to orgasm, and the Reflections Cool can certainly provide that hard stimulation and the girth more experienced users may crave.
The Dream Massager G is a vibrator. Similar to the Reflections Cool, it has a swelling curve for that filled feeling and a pointed tip. The Reflections Cool is vastly superior in my opinion. The curve on the Dream Massager G made it difficult to insert, due to its weird placement after the tip, and the tip was not curved enough to hit my g-spot. Users disappointed by this toy will love the Reflections Cool's superior use of these design characteristics. It does a better job without vibrating. That says a lot in my opinion.
As you can see, there's a big variety in g-spot toys and glass toys out there. The Reflections Cool is an excellent toy in both categories.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it1 month after original review
I found a use for the funky cord! It works well for wrapping around my wrist when I use this toy in the shower. I wouldn't want to drop it and break it. So, if you're reading this, do not cut the cord off!
The coating is still doing fine for the most part. I tested the bottom with a thumbtack, and it left a scratch, but regular use doesn't have any effect on it. I wash it gently, with no abrasive cleaners, and store it in a pouch, and I think with this treatment it will be lasting me a long time.
This toy is my favorite glass toy to use in the bathtub now. Because of the curve, it works well when I'm sitting in the bath with my back against the walls of the tub and my legs under the water. I like to insert it and rock it inside of me. Straight glass toys are hard to insert when I'm lying back, but this one slides in easily and is better able to reach my g-spot from that angle. If you're looking for any ideas on how to use this toy, try it out.

@Starkiller87 - I heard you had trouble with your pieces from the Reflection Line being scratched. I'm sorry. That sucks. Mine was just fine, but I am worried that the coating might be delicate, so I'm going to be extra-careful about how I wash it.
@LinToxic - This is a great piece. I recommend it.
@Antipova - I hope you do try this one. It's lovely. And thanks so much! You're a great mentor to work with. Very demanding, but I like to think that you're getting me to write the best reviews I possibly can.
