Boring Bone
The Love Bone by SSA Glass is the most boring glass piece I own. I avoid using it. The lack of texture and small size of the toy may work well for beginners but then you have to deal with the awkward flatness of the toy. I may have enjoyed this toy more if I were completely new to glass...but I'm not. There are better glass toys available in the same price range as the Lousy Bone.

Pros
Price, material, decent option for beginners because of the lack of texture and smaller size.
Cons
Too thin (for me), flatness is awkward, no texture (may be a pro for some), boring.
I received the Love Bone by SSA Glass as a free gift with purchase. I had tried a variety of glass pieces before the Love Bone. I’m a big fan of glass toys because I love the temperature play. After hearing so many good things about the Love Bone, I was excited to try it out.
The toy was wrapped in bubble wrap and sat inside of a drawstring pouch when it had arrived. The pouch doesn’t have any text or images on it so it’s quite discreet. The pouch is red in colour with a black drawstring closure at the top. The problem with these storage bags is that they have absolutely no padding to them. I usually just keep the bubble wrap that the toy comes with but you could always purchase another storage pouch that has padding in it.
Love Bone is made of pyrex glass. Eden’s guide to materials explains how pyrex glass is less dense than ordinary glass, which means that if the toy were to ever break, it would not shatter into slivers or tiny pieces. Instead, the toy would break into larger chunks. As I had mentioned, I own quite a few glass pieces. I have not had any of my glass toys break- even with a few accidental drops.
The toy is blue in colour. The one end is shaped like a bone, dipping down at the centre, making it look almost like a heart. The other end is tapered into a rounded point. There is no texture to the toy but there is a slight curve to the bone. The lack of texture would work well for those who are new to glass or those who don’t enjoy any texture to their toys.
The reason I love glass toys is because I love temperature play! I prefer the cooler sensations but the toy can also be warmed. The toy can be placed in a bowl of warm or cool water before play and it retains the temperature quite well.
Being glass, you can use any lubricant you prefer with the toy whether it is oil, water, or silicone based. What’s nice about the glass is that it does not absorb any of the lubricant. I’ve never had to reapply lubricant to a glass toy. Actually, often times I don’t use any lubricant at all. The Love Bone should not be used for hard thrusting to avoid hurting yourself.
The Love Bone is rather short. The total length of the toy is approximately 5 ½ inches. The circumference of the toy starts at approximately 2 ¼ inches and is largest at the base, which is 4 7/8 inches. With the wider base, you could use the toy for vaginal play and/or anal play. This is not considered a double-ended dildo but I’m sure you could insert the wider end first if you wanted to (vaginally). I tried it and I found it awkward. I prefer using the wider end as a handle.
When I had used the Love Bone, I was left disappointed. Perhaps if I hadn’t tried glass toys before, I would have enjoyed it more. I found the length a bit short for my taste, the circumference too thin, the lack of texture boring, and the toy has a flatness to it which makes it awkward to use. I also prefer the double ended dildos because when one side starts to warm up, I can get the cool sensation from the other end. The curve to this toy didn’t do a darn thing for me.
Cleaning the toy is really easy because there is no texture to the toy and the material is glass. You can clean the toy with toy wipes, a toy cleaning spray, or soap and water. Boiling it, wiping it down with a bleach/water solution, or wiping it down with rubbing alcohol can sterilize it.

Experience
...continued
I have over 10 glass pieces (probably close to 20 but I haven’t counted) and this is my least favourite. I can’t actually even call it a favourite because I avoid using it. I find the Love Bone to be way too boring. I’d be more likely to recommend this toy to someone who has never tried glass before. The price is reasonable and the appearance and texture (or lack of) is non-intimidating. Even then, it would not be my first recommendation for a beginner because I find the flatness of the toy extremely awkward. I’ve given the Love Bone a 2 out of 5 because there are better options out there.
Below is a size comparison photo. The Love Bone is the toy on the far left hand side of the photo. The other toys, from left to right, are as follows: Violet Wonder, Gold Laced G (this is the one I would normally recommend to beginners but it is now discontinued), Blossom G, and the Pink Passion Wand. The item on the end is a 500mL bottle of water since I know not everyone has the toys to compare the size with.
