Be warned...

This really was a bad choice. This was my first sex toy EVER, and it took a lot of recovering to move on to better toys. Be warned: jelly is NOT the way to go. I wish I knew that before I bought it. If you're looking for a good dildo, go for TPR or, even better, silicone. If you MUST have a jelly one, please use a condom over it. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

This was my very first sex toy EVER, and I was kind of nervous, yet excited to try it. I didn't know much about the safety of materials in toys, so I had no idea what I was getting into when I spotted this gem on a rather questionable site (nope, it wasn't Eden). I loved the pink, transparent color, and the idea of "jelly" sounded soft, so I gave it a try.

When it arrived, I didn't hesitate to open it up. The first thing I noticed was the rather cloying smell of chemicals and plastic. I tried washing the smell off, but no amount of soap and hot water was clearing it away. That really should have been my first red flag, but again, I was new to this.

The toy's material was definitely soft and very flexible, but it had quite a bit of drag to it in my hands. To remedy this, put a condom over it. Don't just use lube!

After using it a few times, I started to notice something rather alarming: I'd have this slight burning sensation in the vaginal area. I had no clue what was going on. I thought it was the cleaning product I was using, so I switched. The next time I used it, it happened again. Only this time, it was a bit stronger. I thought maybe it was just because of the drag of the toy, so I bought a lube. Well, I used it one last time, with a lube, fully cleaned, and this time the burning sensation was so bad that it stuck around long after I stopped using the toy. Needless to say, I threw it away. I am glad that I didn't pay a lot for it. The pain lasted about a day and a half before I paid the gyno a very awkward visit. As it turns out, it was a bad reaction to the chemicals in the toy. She told me all about the risks with toys made from rubber and jelly, and she prescribed a medication for my ailments. After all that, I will NEVER use another toy made from rubber or jelly again.

Thanks for the review. Wish I would have known about this, too; I had a very similar experience with my first jelly toy. Bad reactions are no fun.

I don't buy jelly toys, either. although for the price, this was a pretty good toy — IF you put a condom on it each time. Thanks for another enjoyable review.
