Basix Slim, You Failed.

This toy has potential, but it just didn't work for me. I had originally purchased it for oral use, but the taste and smell were too much for me. I also found that it was too flimsy for me to get any real pleasure of when using the toy in other ways. Perhaps if it were a little more girthy -- or if it had a firm core... but as it is? This just was a fail all around for me.

Use

This was one of the first non-vibrating toy that I ever purchased. I wanted something that was extremely flexible, so that it could be used for practicing oral sex. It was an absolutely terrible choice for that purpose, and sadly I've yet to find a way that I can enjoy this toy. It just doesn't feel good for me.

This dildo seems like a good idea, but it just seems to fall short. Let's go over some of the possible uses for this toy:

~You can, technically, use this for vaginal penetration. My issue here is that it seems too floppy to really thrust with, and that it just doesn't apply enough pressure to my g-spot.
~You can use this anally, as it does feature a base. The trouble here is that it's a rather soft dildo, so insertion can be a hassle. Also, you're going to want to use a condom over it if you use the toy anally, due to the extremely porous material.
~You can use it to practice deep throating. It's long, it's soft, and it's flexible -- seems like a good choice for oral practice, right? ... Except for the fact that this toy smells, and has a horrible taste.
~You can attach the suction cup to a wall, and use it that way. The suction cup DOES work well -- it's the rest of the toy that doesn't.
~You can technically use this in a harness, but it's so floppy that I don't think it'll do much good.

As you can see, this toy just failed at properly penetrating any of my three holes. It might work for you, but it didn't for me.

Material / Texture

The material of this toy is the items biggest drawback. It's made of rubber, which only rates as a 3 on EdenFantasys safety scale. It is hypoallergenic, latex free, and phthalates free, but it's also incredibly porous. The fact that it's porous means that there is absolutely no way for you to completely disinfect this toy. So, if you use this anally without a condom, you cannot (or should not, at least) use it vaginally later -- even if you wash it.

The rubber material comes with a terrible rubbery taste and smell. I have been unable to get rid of this smell and taste, even after washing the toy several times. I'm just thankful that the scent doesn't seem to attach itself to other items.

The overall feeling of the toy is one of softness and flexibility. I love soft, flexible toys, but this one was just too flexible for me. This toy is meant to look realistic, but I've never seen a cock that looks quite like this. I've also never seen a cock that feels like this -- it's just TOO soft and flexible to be realistic. It's just incredibly squishy.

The material also features quite a drag. My fingers don't glide over it as I would like. This is nothing that a little lubricant can't fix, though. The material also features a bit of texture in the form of little veins. Most of these veins cannot be felt while the toy is in use, and the ones that can be felt are not overwhelming at all.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is a decent size. It's 8" in total length, with 7 1/2" being insertable. It is 5" in circumference, and 1 1/2" in diameter -- that's at the widest point. The head of the toy is the the thinnest part of the toy, and that it gradually sort of flares out. This means that unless you can take the full length, you're not really going to be getting the 5" circumference inside of you. The good thing about the way that it flares out though, is that beginners aren't going to be overwhelmed -- the size of the head is something that anyone should be able to take with ease.

The toy is meant to be realistic, but it doesn't really look realistic to me. The veins are a nice touch, however.

While I don't think that this looks just like an actual cock, there's no mistaking it for anything other than a dildo. It's just not discreet. That said, it's easy to hide, so it's not a huge deal.

Performance

This toy just did not work for me. It was too flexible for me to achieve any real pleasure with it -- and I like flexible toys. Maybe if it had a firmer inner core, it would be nice. I think I might even be able to deal with it if the material were a bit better...but as it is? I just don't like this thing.

The suction cup does work nicely, though. I have attached it several times to the shower wall, and even to a tabletop, and it sticks well.

Care and Maintenance

I would recommend that you clean this toy before and after each use, due to the poor material. You can't ever fully disinfect it as the material is porous, but you do need to try your best to keep it clean. I suggest using antibacterial soap and warm water, or a toy cleaner.

I would also recommend that you use a condom with this toy in order to help it last longer.

As for lubricant? This toy can handle both silicone and water-based lubes.

Finally, there is the issue of storage. I would recommend that you store this in some sort of pouch, or ziplock bag. I used to just store it in my toybox, but one day I put it on top of a little packet of lubricant. When I checked it a few days later, I discovered that some of the writing on the packet had transferred to the toy. I have been unable to get the marks to wash off of the toy.
Follow-up commentary
This dildo has made its way to the garbage. The cheap material seemed to pick up on everything it pressed against. I left it sitting on a magazine one night, and when I came back in the morning, some of the ink from the magazine had transferred onto the toy. I've never seen a toy do that...very strange.
