The First Mate, by Pleasure Works, is a great no frills realistic dildo that gets the job done. This is my first toy from this company and I would definitely buy this brand again. The silicone First Mate is made out of is plush and has a nice texture. It has no smell or taste, much like other silicone toys I've had in the past. Because it is made of silicone, First Mate is easy to clean and can be boiled or put in the dishwasher. It's texture attracts dust and hair, though, so make sure to wash it before use. This is a relatively flexible dildo, which I like. It has a nice give to it while still being firm enough for penetration. It can almost be bent in half! It has some nice details on it, with a pronounced head and a bit of veining, much like a real penis.

This toy also has a flared base, which means it can be safely used anally and is harness compatible. The base also doubles as a suction cup. When I first got First Mate, I set it down on my dresser base down. When I went to pick it up, I found that it was firmly stuck there. I was surprised at how strong the suction was! I haven't tried it yet, but this would be great for shower play.

This toy feels very realistic while in use. The silicone warms up to body temperature quickly and has a realistic amount of give to it. It is the size of a well endowed man and had a little too much girth for me at first. It took a bit of warming up and a generous amount of lube in order for me to use it for thrusting. It provides a very full feeling.
