A Definite Learning Curve
I recommend this toy for those who know they are ready to handle it. If you're unsure of the strength of your kegel muscles, be sure to have a harness handy as a backup. Similar toys by other brands might be a better starting point for harness-free fun.

Pros
Beautiful 100% silicone toy that has a decent size.
Cons
The struggle to hold the toy in can be a major distraction during intercourse.
I bought the Feeldoe Violet with very high expectations. It was to be my first high quality 100% silicone toy and it came very well recommended from a friend and several online reviews. Sadly, I was disappointed with the overall experience and can't honestly recommend this toy.
On the positive side, I must say that the Feeldoe Violet is visually appealing, slick, has a decent size and deserves an A+ for it's quality material. I believe this toy is a definite conversation starter and more than one might be lured to want to try it upon seeing it on display. I've read some very favorable reviews, so I imagine it's good for some; certainly not for me.
The bad news? This toy requires a level of fitness that I do not posses. In order to really enjoy this ride you must have powerful kegel muscles and be reasonably fit. My partner and I took turns trying to maneuver the toy, but we were frustratingly unsuccessful. After several attempts, we gave up and scratched it off as a waste of money because we couldn't use it as intended.
Some suggest that using it with a harness might help control the toy. Given that my main complaint is my inability to hold the toy inside my body, I will try using it with a harness to see if the experience improves.
I don't give the Feeldoe Violet less stars, because I can see how it has the potential to be a very pleasurable toy for those skilled enough to handle it. Also, it served me well as a vibrating dildo once I desisted from trying to use it as a strapless strap-on.
If my experiment with a harness is equally fruitless, I am likely to move on to a similar toy from a different brand.

Experience
Tried using it several times, but struggling to keep the toy inside was a definite turn off. In all occasions, it ended discarded on the floor.
Follow-up commentary
8 months after original review
Never liked the Feeldoe and probably never will. I think my anatomy/skill level doesn't match this toy. It might have worked better with a harness, but I can't find the toy to prove my theory. It seems that it ended up in the trash after a recent clean sweep. Suffice it to say, I don't miss it.

Thanks for the review, but you really didn't include a lot of information. I recommend the mentor program. It could help you write better reviews.

Thank you for the review but you definitely need to put more information into any further reviews.

Definitely try it with a harness. The Sparepants Joque is a really great one that is compatible with double ended toys. In my experience these double ended dildos always work best when used with a harness.

I agree with Ahadmadeofshoes12. You definitely need to try it with a harness if for no other reason than it is such an investment you want to be able to get something out of it. Another brand might work better for you, but it is very possible that a harness is the only way any of them are going to work well for you. It would be nice to know what your use is - woman on woman? Thanks for the review.

Don't give up on the Feeldoe. I have great Kegels but absolutely need a harness with the Feeldoe. W/o a harness, my vagina expels it just prior to orgasm, a real bummer for me.

Thank you for giving us this review. Don't give up on the toy, maybe you will find a harness that will work with this toy or your kegels become stronger after exercising them.
