A Bit of Rough
The Pikilo is the closest I've come to finding rough sex in dildo form. The rows of small nubs create an entirely unique set of sensations that range from simply delicious to "this hurts in the most wonderful way." This is a great dildo for adding some variety to your collection, exploring a completely different kind of stimulation, or providing a new element to your BDSM scenes.

Pros
Unique design, sturdy base, detachable suction cup.
Cons
Some may find the nubs uncomfortable or too rough
I’ve never experienced a dildo like the Pikilo. It’s covered with rows of small, raised nubs. I had anticipated this being like any other dildo–I would enjoy the width and the firmness, but the added-value elements like nubs would be completely ineffective. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
You can’t help but notice the nubs. They’re inescapable and the sensation they produce is entirely unique. The only experience I can compare it to is the feeling that comes with being f***ed hard when you’re not completely wet yet. Using the Pikilo is like having rough sex. Really rough sex.
The moment I inserted it, I felt the nubs rubbing up against me. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it was definitely there. Most dildos and vibrators with some sort of ribbing/texture seem to focus the sensation on the vaginal opening. The width of the Pikilo made it possible to feel the nubs through the walls of my vaginal canal–something mind-blowing simply for being so different.
The Pikilo wasn’t too wide for me personally, but it definitely is on the bigger side of the size spectrum. Without adding any significant width to the dildo, the nubs make that size much more apparent.
It’s easy to go from “this is nice…different but nice” to “oh wow…I need to turn down the volume on this one.” Using the dildo without any sort of thrusting motion kept the nub sensations to a minimum and I could apply pressure to my G-spot. I added a little bit of thrusting and things started feeling rough (in a good way). I added a lot of thrusting and it became almost too uncomfortable for me to handle. (Appropriately enough, “Pikilo” is Esperanto for “spike” or “prickly.”)
The design of the handle is inspired. The three balls at the base allow for a solid grasp and the base is wide enough to hold comfortably from different angles. The suction cup adds even more variety to play and works like a dream on non-painted surfaces–tile, glass, laminate, etc. It is completely ineffective on painted surfaces, though, so you won’t be able to use it on your average wall.
What impressed me most about the suction cup base is that it’s detachable from the dildo itself. The suction cup has a metal screw which attaches to the bottom of the Pikilo, making attaching and removing the dildo fast and easy.
I found the Pikilo too firm to enjoy when attached to my shower wall–it simply doesn’t work well with my body’s geography and isn’t the greatest for the G-spot stimulation I like from being penetrated from behind. When attached to the edge of my tub, however, riding it was fabulous.
It’s made of TPR–a recyclable polymer. It’s eco-friendly, but also body-friendly as it’s phthalates-free. The SinFive Pikilo is compatible with all lubricants and can be washed with soap and water or toy cleaner. If you decide to share the love, be sure to use a condom.
