Vaya Con Dildo
The closest I've come to a religious experience with a sex toy. Big, easy to clean, and pink, the Raquel is a must-have. Sure, it attracts lint like moths to a flame, but with its flared base, plush exterior, remarkable size and glorious pinkness, who can blame the lint?
Published:
Pros
Strap-on ready with a great base, girthy, plush for the over-exuberant.
Cons
A little too floppy for easy anal, lint picker upper, somewhat difficult packaging.
An excerpt from a conversation I had about the VixSkin Raquel:
"There were cherubs singing hallelujah and blowing their trumpets and then I squirted."
I've never loved a sex toy quite like I love the Raquel. I call the Raquel "the Holy Grail of Dildos" and, truth be told, my love for her begin long before she arrived in the mail. I spent hours poring over reviews, images, and prices for her for weeks before placing my order.
I knew she was the right one for me. I wanted a dildo that was harness compatible, firm without losing any life-likeness, sizable without being overwhelming, safe for multiple partners, g/ p-spot ready, and pink. Is that too much to ask? I think not. The Raquel fit the bill and more.
The dildo has a flared base and is 1 5/8 inches diameter so it is compatible with most harnesses and safe for anal play. With a firm core and plush VixSkin silicone exterior, the Raquel is both multiple-partner ready and the most realistic feeling dildo I have ever personally experienced. It's nonporous, meaning bacteria can’t get in and fester. The Raquel is 8 1/2 inches with all but one inch being insertable. It is appropriate for vaginal and anal use. Sporting a 5 inch circumference, the Raquel is not for the faint of heart but it’s no Rambone either.
Vixen's Raquel arrived in a clear cylinder with black plastic caps with some black and gold information; email, website, fax, and phone number, in addition to cleaning information and more! There were things to dislike about the packaging too, though. It's transparent, and no one is ever going to believe upon seeing this container sitting on your dresser that this is anything other than a dildo. And the lid is really, Really, REALLY hard to get back on. The container is the perfect place to store this dildo, though, since it's so hard to get off, it's hard for things like hair, dust, and fuzz to get IN.
I wanted this dildo for a few reasons: vaginal and anal insertion and strap-on use. For vaginal use, I found this dildo to be nothing short of amazing. It had outstanding g-spot stimulation and was flexible and squishy enough to withstand even the most vigorous thrusting without causing pain to the cervix. The flared base on the Raquel makes it perfectly safe for anal play but when trying to use this toy on myself for anal insertion I had a few difficulties. One, the shape of the dildo is fairly realistic so there is no taper. This means slower and more lubed up is the way to go with this dildo. Two, it’s very floppy so it can be hard to get a good angle to put it in your own ass. Once you have it inside you (this part is per a male play-mate) the p-spot stimulation is as commendable as I found the g-spot stimulation to be; which is to say (in case I failed to mention it before) —AMAZING. For strap-on use I have one complaint and one commendation. The complaint is that because of the floppiness it’s tougher than I expected to use; I recommend you lay down and have the person you’ll be fucking to guide themselves onto the dildo. It made my life easier! The commendation goes to the remarkable base. Oh, and bonus! The base does work as a suction cup for shower fun but don’t put too much pressure on it. The suction is a nice bonus but not exquisitely engineered as the rest of it is.
Though the Raquel feels slightly tacky to the touch when dry, apply some lube or water (or *ahem* female ejaculate) and she becomes slick as glass. The VixSkin's material is difficult to fully capture with words but I can advise that the exterior is super squishable but the firm inner core keeps it life-like feeling. Luckily for us this lovely lady is low-maintenance as far as care goes. Soap and water, 10% bleach and 90% water solution, or boiling water (Vixen recommends 3 minute dip in boiling water) will get this lady squeaky clean. The silicone being used is incredibly high-grade and really soft so you want to keep it in its container and upright when at all possible or it will get an indent from whatever it lays against. And — like most reviewers have mentioned — the Raquel WILL attract lint. My solution? Soap and water and the put it in the cylinder container with no top on and let it air dry.
I’m not sure exactly how I lasted 25 years without the Raquel, but now that I have it no one is taking it unless they pry it from my post-masturbation, blissful hands.
