Use

This unique dildo harness was designed to help our tireless dildo wielding hero prevent the very real "dildo-tunnel syndrome" (a cousin of the carpel variety) by strapping the dildo firmly into the palm of a hand. Because of this, the harness is only really useful for partner play (not solo play), and really helps prevent aching wrists and numb fingers when settling in for the long haul dildo drilling of an eager and waiting orifice. This harness is probably best for someone quite adept at hand held dildo wielding - the harness holds the dildo tight into the palm of your hand, eliminating ones ability to make subtle orientation adjustments in the heat of frantic dildo thrusting.

Material

This harness is made from robust yet supple, garment quality leather, with metal snaps and a metal clasp, as well as a rubber o-ring. Like all great outlaw leather products, the leather is soft and glorious - however, it's underside sheds, leaving black fuzzies EVERYWHERE - and I do mean everywhere. Even after a bit of trimming with nail scissors, it still leaves black fuzz in its wake (although much much less than it first did), which is a real shame, as silicone dildos love to pick up fuzzies. I am hoping that with enough use, hand oils will slick down the back of the leather enough to stop the fuzz action.

Design / Craftsmanship

This harness has a truly unique design - and surprisingly, it does not come with instructions. I had to keep consulting at online pictures the first few times I donned it. First, the pinky loop is placed over the pinky, and adjusted so that it sits comfortably down at the base of the pinky. The leather in this spot is actually trimmed so that it can sit comfortably low. The pinky loop is the location of one of the quick snaps that attaches to the o-ring. From the pinky loop, the harnesses main strap then drapes around the back of the hand, and then around the front of the wrist, slipping through a second snap attachment point, which should sit at the very base of the palm. Continuing around the wrist, the main strap then crosses itself at the back of the wrist, and swoops up and between the thump and forefinger, slipping around the o-ring to form the third attachment point, before doubling back on itself and doing up with its buckle.

As complex as that sounds, it actually gets pretty easy to do once you've placed it once or twice, and it is well designed so that the buckles and snaps all sit in unobtrusive locations. Do note, however, this harness is a right handed harness - and there is no way to switch it to the left hand.

Size / Fit

Because the harness relies on essentially one strap winding around your hand, it is quite adjustable. Thicker or thinner wrists, however, will affect the way it cinches up - there are nine holes for the buckle to attach off to - I found myself using the third or fourth smallest, and I have hands that usually fit into medium gloves. Unfortunately, however, for such a wide range of adjustability, the pinky loop is one size and one size only. Now, of course, leather will stretch somewhat to accommodate the user (over time) - but as is the loop is snug on my hand, with very little leeway.

The o-ring is two inches in diameter - quite big, really, and is stretchy enough to accommodate something even a bit bigger if need be. The ring can be changed, without effort, to a smaller o-ring if you happen to have one kicking around. Thus, the palm harness can adjust to accommodate any harness compatible dildo.

Performance

This Palm Harness plants your dildo firmly in the meat of your palm. Now, generally, when using a dildo with one's hands, the dildo isn't planted hard into the palm - the fingers are much more involved. Of course, this is because without a harness, the dildo actually has to be held onto to so it doesn't drop away. So at first, using the harness feels a little odd, and is also a little limiting - no more subtle adjustments in angle, no more curving in an out. But, the toss up is that the harness allows you to slam the dildo hard and fast, providing a lot of that solid "whacking against the vulva" type sensation one gets with penetrative sex, or with a thigh harness. There's a bit of a learning curve, but when you get used to it, it's actually not that hard to handle - there's just not quite as much precision as there would be free hand - but there is a lot more power available. It's a good trade-off, especially for an extended dildo session.

Care and Maintenance

Leather fluid bonds, so do be aware of who it's used on and what your level of fluid bonding is with them. If you're playing with someone with whom you are practicing barriered sex, use a female condom to reduce the chance of fluids getting on the harness. If the harness does get dirty, it may be cleaned with a simple wipe down with gentle cleanser (leather cleaner is best) and a damp cloth - use a soft bristled toothbrush for scrubbing, if you need.

Packaging

This harness came in a cute little cardboard box, reminiscent of a Chinese take out box. The box was simple, monotone and just said "Outlaw Leather". There were no instructions included inside, or printed on the box.
Follow-up commentary
Despite being a very specialized use item, I like this harness quite a bit. However, the 'soft backing"of the leather is annoyingly lint-ish, which is annoying because silicone toys are lint magnets. So overall, I think it gets used far less than it would if it didn't have this issue, so I think it's most appropriate to say I don't like it anymore. Those interested in this product should keep this lint thing in mind...
