Smooth as Silk
The Silk Medium is a high quality silicone dildo, perfectly sized for the anal beginner or for the more advanced player who likes to warm up with something small.

Pros
Silky smooth texture; pretty colors; quality materials; excellent for anal.
Cons
Can sometimes slip out of a harness. Rather small for vaginal stimulation.
The Silk Medium was the very first dildo I ever purchased. Four years later, I can say with authority that the Silk Medium is a high quality, long-lasting and extremely useful toy. When I purchased my Silk, I was looking for a smallish, non-realistic dildo without any bumps or ridges and with a flared base to make it safe for anal play. The Silk fit the bill perfectly and came in a variety of pretty, pearlescent colors.
As its name implies, the Silk Medium is an extremely smooth dildo made out of a very firm silicone. There is basically no give to this dildo—it’s impossible to compress and has very little “bendiness” to it. The combination of smooth and firm makes the Silk very easy to insert into tight, sensitive places like the ass.
As you may have guessed I really like to use the Silk Medium as an anal dildo. It is really is not a very large dildo at 1 ¼” diameter and 4” long, and I don’t find it particularly satisfying for vaginal use. For anal use, however, it is just about perfect. It’s almost always the first thing I insert into my lovers ass, or my own, at the beginning of an anal session. It’s just a little bit wider and longer than two fingers and much, much smoother. If you can get two fingers into your ass you are ready for this dildo. The Silk Small, for comparison, is about the size of a single finger and the Large is at least three fingers wide and substantially longer than the Medium.
I also like that the head of the Medium Silk dildo is subtly wider than the base of the dildo, which helps it not to pop out of the sphincter when it is pulled back during anal thrusting. In fact the only flaw I can think of in the design of this toy is the base. The base is a little bit on the small side for the size of the dildo. It’s not small enough to be dangerous for anal play, but it can be problematic for use in a harness.
My first harness did not have interchangeable o-rings and the Silk Medium had a tendency to slip out of the o-ring during thrusting. Very frustrating! I have a harness with interchangeable o-rings now, so it is much less of a problem, but you do have to select an o-ring that fits very snug around the base of the dildo if you don’t want to loose it during sex
Another plus to the Silk dildos is that all of the Tantus silicone toys are made from 100% “ultra-premium” silicone, which means that they are hypoallergenic and nonporous. According to Tantus they can also be sterilized by boiling (5-10min), bleaching (10% solution) or washing in the dishwasher (top shelf). I’ve tried all these methods except for the dishwasher. I’m sure it gets the dildo lovely and clean, but what about my plates?

Experience
I introduced my now long-term lover to anal play back in college using this dildo. I had read in a woman’s magazine that many men enjoy having a finger inserted into their anus during sex, so one day I lubed up a finger and stuck it up his ass during a blow job. I wouldn’t actually advise you to try this without telling your partner first, but it worked out for us!
He enjoyed the anal action so much that I worked my way up to three fingers and then decided to buy some anal toys. I hoped online and came home with the medium and large Silk dildos and a cheap nylon, g-string harness. I wasn’t actually sure how he would react to my proposal to don a harness and fuck him anally with a dildo, but I figured I would still be able to enjoy the dildos if he dumped me and the harness was quite cheap.
I shouldn’t have worried. He found the idea very erotic, and I’ve been fucking him ever since. We have a lot more dildos now, some of them quite impressive in size, but we still start almost every anal session with the Silk Medium. It’s perfectly for warming your ass up for bigger and better things!

Silk Medium...will you ever be back in stock? D: | 12 |
Thank you for viewing Silk medium – g spot dildo review page!
Thanks for the compliments on the reviews. I've been enjoying your reviews for a while, and now I'm really enjoying writing my own. As for starting with a piece of junk, I can definitely relate to that. I was more lucky than anything else with my first dildo purchase, and I've been a Tantus fan ever since. But I've owned my fair share of cheap and crappy sex toys (mostly vibrators), and I've only recently come to the conclusion that it's worth buying quality, or it isn't worth buying at all. Over the last five years or so, I've honestly spent less money on the quality dildoes that I've purchased than on the cheap vibrators I replaced 10 time only to eventually invest in a quality vibe.
