Use

This toy is intended for g-spot pleasure, and from my experience, it does that pretty well. It does have a slight groove/flare at the bottom to be o-ring compatible. While I slipped it into both of my o-rings (one is a 1 1/2" rubber o-ring and the other is 1 1/4" metal o-ring), I did not actually use it in my harness, so I cannot provide any information on whether or not it works out well as a harness toy. I do plan on trying this out eventually, though, as I originally wanted this toy as another harness dildo.

I'm sure that it could be used anally, but I wouldn't trust the base of this toy to be perfectly honest. It does have the flare and groove, but I would fear that it wouldn't be enough to save you from any... mishaps.

Material / Texture

This toy is made from PVC which did worry me slightly because I never have used PVC toys before. I had no prior experience with this material, so it was a bit interesting to finally get one. There is a drag to the toy. More so than most of the toys that I have had. However, it does feel a lot like sil-a-gel or silicone. The packaging of this toy claims that it is sil-a-gel, though, the Eden product info says it is PVC. In all honesty, I can't really tell myself. The Doc Johnson website says sil-a-gel as well.

As for the smell, this toy is already scented, which I knew before requesting it as an assignment. I read a few other reviews saying that the smell was atrocious, and then I read some saying that they hardly noticed it. Let me tell you, I actually almost threw up upon opening the package because of the overwhelming smell of chemical rubber/gel/PVC/whatever. The scent is supposed to be berry, which I get a slight hint of, but it is mostly that chemical smell. I left the package open in my room, closed the door, and came back an hour later and my entire room smelled of the toy.

The shape and feel is not realistic, which is always a plus for me. It is softer than I would generally prefer, but it still managed to get the job done for me. It is very flexible, though, so if you like to move the toys around and manipulate exactly how they hit, this will be wonderful for you.

As for the fact that it is made of PVC/sil-a-gel, the package also claims that this is latex free, phthalate free, and anti-bacterial.

Design / Shape / Size

I personally actually loved the design of this toy. The curved head hits my g-spot almost immediately. It's got more of a curve to it than a lot of other g-spot toys do and I think it works wonderfully for those ladies who have harder to reach g-spots. The head is generous and the girth of the toy was just about perfect for those times when I don't feel like being totally stuffed.

This toy is 7 1/2" in total length, which is very pleasing for those who are looking for more length or more at the intermediate to advanced level of toy play. The insertible length is about 6" which rings about true as I was able to insert almost all of the toy. Circumference is 4 1/2" and the diameter is 1 3/8".

On the whole, I think this toy is a good shape and size for most users. I believe a beginner could use the toy if they want, but I don't think I would fully recommend it to one.

Traveling with this toy would probably draw questions as it has a very obvious shape, and it's size is not small and would only fit in larger purses or carry-on bags.

Performance

If you can get past the smell of this toy, it works wonderfully for g-spot pleasure. It is able to hit the spot at just the right angle and without much effort for the user. It did very well, much better than I thought it would. However, one must either be naturally lubricated well or use lube with this toy because of the amount of drag from the material on dry skin. Otherwise, it will be very uncomfortable.

Care and Maintenance

Since I have not had a toy of this material before, I didn't have any experience with cleaning and maintainence. However, I read and found that using my normal cleaning routine of warm water and toy cleaner worked out just as well. I didn't see anything that said not to boil this toy, but since nothing gave the green light TO boil it, I would advise not to boil this or put it in the dishwasher.

Since there are no grooves or designs in this toy, cleaning was a breeze, everything just wiped clean easily.

As for storage, I typically put my toys in a plastic baggie, but I'm not sure if I would trust this in a plastic baggie, I'm currently looking for something a little more friendly to store this toy in.

I tried cleaning the smell out of the toy before using it, but I couldn't seem to get rid of it. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them. Otherwise, I'm pretty positive that this smell will be with the toy forever.

Packaging

This toy is packaged very obviously. It is a clear package that displays the toy, so leaving this out for guests to see probably isn't a good idea unless your guests are open like you are. I am using the package as a storage box for now, and I know a lot of other people probably do it that was as well. The toy fits well in the package, so I don't see a problem with it.

Personal comments

Personally, this toy is way too smelly and I was actually very scared to use it without a condom on it (I don't use condoms, so I don't keep them around nor did I buy any from the store). The smell was enough to scare me from putting it inside me. I'm keeping an eye on everything to make sure it doesn't cause any reactions, but I'm just paranoid about putting certain things in certain areas. The toy hit my g-spot and got me off, but the smell nearly ruined it for me.
Follow-up commentary
Well, this toy got put in a cute little fabric sleeve that I got for Christmas and tossed into the cedar chest that sits at the foot of my bed. I did not open the chest for almost a month and the smell that came out of it just from the Radiant Gem was very pleasant. Don't let that fool you! Once I took it from it's sleeve, the overwhelming smell of chemicals, rubber, and plastic quickly made me want to toss it into the garbage.

For some reason, I haven't yet... maybe because I don't want people to see it in my garbage, or maybe because I'm hoping that one day the smell will go away.

    Lol@title!

Thanks for the review, nothing worse than a bad smell to kill the chances of enjoying a toy.

The PVC smell or the berry scent the toy comes with?

I think it was the mix of the berry scent (which on its own, I think would be very pleasant) and the PVC smell that was bad for me.

Other than that, I did really enjoy the toy, but it was definitely a killer for me as wel.

Wow! That smell sure sounds like a turn off I'm sorry about that. I know how that feels. I had one really funky rabbit like vibe that someone sent as a gift to me and I was scared of it! Lol. It was labeled as TPR and as soon as I pulled it outta the box and my nostrils caught a whiff, I knew it couldn't be TPR. That thing seriously smelled like very dirty socks! Yuck. Lol.

Thanks for all the details on this one. I'll certainly be passing.

I believe that sil-a-gel always has a very strong, overbearing smell. PVC, on the other hand, usually does not. So, it's my opinion that this is made of sil-a-gel. Thanks for the great review.
