Ringed dong review
A well-shaped dong with a nice length, though a little tricky for beginners. Not well-made for harness use; small base is susceptible to popping out at unexpected moments.

Pros
Great length and shape, flexible, and lots of fun.
Cons
Difficult to hold, by hand or in harness. Scent may irritate some. Color hard to take seriously.
This was the first dong my girlfriend and I have ever used, and I have to say that it was quite an experience.
If amusement bothers your partner, be warned that the color can be somewhat difficult to take seriously (we have the purple, which is very bright). That being said, my girlfriend and I both have a sense of humor even at inappropriate moments, and neither of us wanted a realistic dong|Realistic Dongs to begin with, so we brought the Ringed Dong|Ringed dong to bed with nervous anticipation. I experienced a little performance anxiety, so to speak, as I strapped into my harness.
The Ringed Dong does have a scent, which to me is fairly obvious, but which my girlfriend did not even notice. I am generally very sensitive to perfumes, but I did not find the smell offensive; it is light and sweet, and once the dong was put to use, I did not notice the scent again. I am not fond of the texture of silicone (it has an unpleasant sticky feeling to me, which is a turn-off during preparation), but once we had lubed it up with "Wet naturals silky supreme," the original texture was also no longer a concern, either.
The shape of the Ringed Dong, according to my girlfriend, is fantastic. It hits all the right spots, and has a nice length- long enough to have some play, but not too cumbersome. It's smaller than most of what is sold on this site, but for a pair of lesbians without a lot of penetration experience it is perfect. It is fairly flexible, which allows for a lot of experimentation, and the softness means we could be pretty vigorous without worry. However, the flexibility sometimes made thrusting difficult if we were moving more of the length, since the dong would bend at inopportune times. That may have been a result of my own relative inexperience, but it's worth noting, especially for other newcomers.
Unfortunately, the base of the dong is very small (only an eighth to quarter-inch flare beyond the ring), so there isn't much to hold it in a harness. If it is pulled at all to the side, it snaps out of the harness ring. The ringed dong says it is O-ring compatible, and we used the smallest ring we could find that fits on it, so I do not think this was a problem of user-error or with the harness, which as far as I can tell is nearly identical to the "Pleasure principle deluxe|Pleasure principle deluxe" harness sold on this site (the harness was a gift from a friend who decided we needed more sex toys|Sex toys for couples, and I cannot find the exact product online). This is also definitely a ladies-only dong; the flare on the base is nowhere near large enough to make it safe for anal.
Using the dong by hand is more reliable, though again, a little tricky. It is easy to grip the Ringed Dong by the flared section of the base if you want to, but if you want to keep the length, you have the same problem the harness does: it's hard to hold onto.
Given how much we like the shape and size otherwise, my girlfriend and I are willing to keep experimenting; we're hopeful that a different harness might work better, or that we can find some other way to rig the one we have so it's more effective. For now, three stars. I do recommend it, but only for someone with a sense of humor and the determination to experiment.

just as a side note, the product is made of Sil-a-Gel, not silicone. nice review, and great to keep a sense of humor :)

When you increase your budget you'll find yourself being introduced to toys that don't smell.. such as silicone.. or even glass. :)

Your review was so well-thought out and well-written. I definitely appreciate it especially because I am looking at this to use in a lesbian relationship as well. And the only reason I was attracted to it was because of the non-realistic shape and the fact that it's smaller. Thank you so much!
