Perfect for beginner peggers
The Nexus Jr. is a quality product offering a non-intimidating way to ease into strap-on sex. However, you may tire of the small size after a few rounds with this guy.

Pros
Attractive toy, easy to clean, ridged/curved side feels great
Cons
Small size
Nexus Jr. was my first double-ended dildo. I've been excited by the idea of having a dick and wanted a dildo that would provide me with the same pleasure I was simultaneously giving my partner.
I spent a lot of time debating between the Nexus Jr. and Sr., but as we were both inexperienced peggers, I decided that smaller would be safer. The only thing worse than too small of a dildo would be one that was too big for me to get in, or that hurt my partner.
Nexus Jr. is an attractive fellow, but definitely has some growing to do. I was a bit disappointed when I saw how small he was. Although I had high hopes for being able to use the dildo without a harness, a couple of practice thrusts showed me there was no way I could hold it in with muscle power alone. Still, I loved the look and feel of wearing it. Nexus slipped easily into my harness, and it was enough to hold it in place. (Side note: taking time out of sex play to fit a dildo into a harness is more of a mood killer than fumbling with a condom.)
The curve and ridges on my end of the dildo definitely felt good while I was thrusting into my partner. I was really glad I had gone with a dildo that provided pleasure to the both of us instead of using a dildo with a flared base. However, now that the mystique of strap-on sex is gone, I find myself wishing I had bought a bigger dildo (read: Nexus's hot older brother, the Sr.) My partner was happy to have something smaller and less intimidating, but my end just doesn't fill me up, which means that although Nexus Jr. can double as a dildo with a handle, I never really want to use it on its own.
Nexus Jr. is made out of silicone, which is a big plus in my book. It made the toy easy to insert and use (with lube), and also easy to clean after anal play. Having such a forgiving material made us both a bit less nervous about inadvertently hurting or being hurt. Nexus Jr. also comes in a plastic tube/case of sorts, which the manufacturer recommends to store it in. This is good because I noticed it attracts dust. Nexus Jr. is also flexible with a fair amount of give, so keeping it in the case helps him stay in shape.
If you're new to pegging and don't plan to venture out of the experimental phase, Nexus Jr. will do the job just fine. It is definitely the appropriate size for nervous first-timers. But if your budget is limited, you know you'll eventually want to peg with a full-sized toy, and you're trying to invest in something you'll keep around for awhile, I would recommend upgrading to a bigger dildo and easing your partner into anal play with your fingers and small toys. After all, my ass didn't get small-dick special treatment the first time it was penetrated.

Thank you for viewing Nexus Jr. – double ended dildo review page!
You're right about the small dildos. It's probably better for someone interested in pegging to start out with a smaller, less expensive single dildo and then go for the fancy doubles when they have a better idea of what they want.
You can have the Nexus (or indeed any dildo) "pre-harnessed" before you start play so you just need to pull on the harness and slide it in rather than fumbling with the O-ring.
