Okay, so let me just say that when I got this my jaw nearly hit the ground. The product page lists this toy as being 1.5" in diameter which I always take to mean "diameter at the widest point" since that's what it usually works out to be. Not the case!! This toy is really girthy. Let's go over some measurements.
The length as per the product page and my measurements is 7.25". It's called the 7" dildo, I guess because the 7.25" dildo didn't roll off the tongue as nicely. The head is 1.75" in diameter. It then comes down to the listed 1.5" in diameter. It continues to get bigger as you get to the base, widening out to a maximum diameter of 2". While I forgot to include it in my diagram, the base is 2.75" wide.
So the diameter at the widest is .5" wider than the product page lists. At the head it's .25" wider than the product page lists. That's the difference at the head between "kinda beginner friendly" and "not so beginner friendly." At the base it's the difference between "kinda beginner friendly" and "advanced users only."
Here's the diagram chart:
To put it in perspective, here it is in my hand:
The size of this was a shock, to say the least. When you're expecting the base to be 1.5" and thus the inner curve to be more like 1" or 1.25" and instead the
inside is 1.5", you kinda take a step back. I'll just say it's a good thing I'd been busy working on my
Hottie Xtra before I took this on as an assignment or I'd have never gotten this thing in! Before the Xtra journey, my max was 1.5" in diameter, so this would have far exceeded that.
Now, here are my thoughts on the 1.75" (which ends up being the size that you mostly feel) size. My general preference is still for smaller to average sized toys in the 1"-1.5" range. However, on my "larger toy" days, I'll use 2"-2.25" toys. So 1.75" is an awkward size for me. It's too small on a "big" day and too big on a "small" day. It serves as a good warm up for bigger toys, but that's about the extent of the 1.75" size for me. Every now and then I'll find my head is in a "big" mood and my body is not and then the 1.75" works out nicely.
Now, you can work this out to be 2", but then you're inserting most of it. My G spot is about 1.5" or maybe 2" in at a max, so if I insert this all the way I lose the design features. So that brings me back to the size of this just being kind of awkward for me.
As to who the size will work for, I would say a more advanced user. It starts right out at the 1.75", it does not graduate to that size. If you're used to smaller toys, this is a bigger jump than you may think. If you're looking for something super filling, however, it's not exactly that either. Just make sure you can handle the size of this before you make the purchase.
Let's take a moment to look at the shape on the Elite. It curves in a good bit, allowing for G or P spot stimulation. It's one of the more intense curves I have in a vibrator, coming upward a good bit.
Underneath the head feels like it has a hollow spot. This means it is somewhat bendable at the head. I have to put some weight behind it to bend it, but I can get it to bend. If you need a totally rigid toy, it may not work for your G/P spot.
If you're like me and need an intense curve, this one is actually pretty nice. It has almost a U shape in the middle where it curves upward. It hooks into the body somewhat when it is used and creates a ton of pressure. In fact, between the size and amount of pressure it creates, the sensation may be overkill to some.
Here's a fun fact I learned. My G spot is even more picky than I originally thought. The curve on this is near perfect. I can hit my G spot without fail with the Elite. I can get an insane amount of pressure on it and never lose contact. So G spot orgasm, right? Not so much. Apparently, my G spot also wants the smaller head, not the larger head. Can you hear my frustrated sigh through your computer?
If you need pinpoint precision, this doesn't do it. It's broad stimulation due to the size of the head. You'll get the pressure and the curve. What you won't get is a precise application of that pressure and curve. Depending on what you need, this could work for you or not.
While not a realistic toy, it's certainly not a discreet one. It looks very much like a sex toy and shouldn't be left out if you don't want people knowing what you're doing. It's not so large that you couldn't travel with it, but it's not the smallest thing either. Make sure you remove the batteries before traveling.
