Handmade Could Be SO Much Better
The Leather Dildo Harness holds a lot of promise in that it is homemade and produced from the finest of leather, but unfortunately, it doesn’t exactly make the mark. It is rather uncomfortable to wear, awkward to use during strap-on fucking, and doesn’t really ensure that much versatility in terms of who can wear this and what sized dildos you can use it with.

Pros
Handmade, good quality leather, pretty color, one size fits most.
Cons
May not fit ALL sizes, leather is hard, uncomfortable wear, flimsy un-changeable O-ring.
The Leather Dildo Harness is one sexy and one of a kind strap-on from Sinvention. As advertised on the tag of this product, it is made from the finest of leathers and is hand-made (and interestingly enough, Sinvention leather studios are situated in a 125 year old Gothic church in Canada----neat!). The look and feel of the Leather Dildo Harness says that there was some tender loving care put into it. It is very lightweight and the material itself seems rather of good quality and authentic; there is no glitz or shine to it, it is what it is, leather at its finest. At first, one may think that this is one big looking strap-on, but with plenty of holes (exactly 12 punch holes on the waist straps and on the lower thigh straps) to adjust and tighten it to your liking. And unlike what one may be used to when using a really good quality harness, the O-ring in the center of the crotch area is completely bare; there are no snap buttons to secure your dildo in place, nor can one use any other O-ring accessories to replace the original one. Simple, but possibly inconvenient. The plus side for most people, of course, is that there is open and easy access for one to put, let’s say, a dildo in the asshole or for your partner to touch with your backside before and during strap-on play.
This is a one-size fits most harness, despite its rather large size. At first I was afraid that the harness wouldn’t fit me, but to my surprise, it did manage to fit around my petite little waist and rather firmly alongside my buttocks, but just barely. If there’s one thing I noticed about the harness was that it is rather difficult to strap into it. The leather is very tough; trying to adjust the harness feels like you have to do a lot of tugging and pulling just to get the leather through the belt buckle, which was frustrating, and at the end, very uncomfortable. Although made of leather, wearing the harness felt like wearing a jock strap made out of cardboard. It was rough, slightly itchy, made the skin feel suffocated (and this was at my personal comfort level of adjustment), and became a tad bit unbearable to wear after a couple of minutes (not good). Thankfully, though, the O-ring aims perfectly on the crotch area; when I put one of my flanged-based butt plugs in it, the base stayed firmly inside of the hole, pressing nicely against my clitoris, making it instantly pleasure before and during play. During fucking, one’s dildo of choice stays in place OKAY, except that at times the overall harness is flimsy. One has to spend more time holding onto the base of their dildo than they really need to when using a harness, which can bring things to a slight halt and may be awkward for some. And depending on the size of the dildo you use, you may have to hold onto it most, if not the entire, time in hopes of having a consistent rhythm throughout the session. The plus side is that my clitoris did gets smacks of pleasure from the base of my dildo, but at times I was nervous that the dildo was going to fall out from the O-ring. It just didn't feel as secure as one would expect and made me self-conscious of my movements. Even more awkward is, as mentioned, the feel of wearing the harness. The leather is so hard and barely has any bend or fold, which chafes the skin and makes wearing the harness uncomfortable in general. After using and wearing it, an irritating tingling feeling lingered on my skin for at least an hour. When trying to take off the harness, again I had to struggle to loosen the straps, and the paint rubbed off as well when I pulled it through the buckle.
So what can one say? This leather harness is indeed simple, sexy, slightly stylish, and well-made, but the execution of this harness is poorly and clumsily done. I can say that this leather harness can fit most people, but I can’t say that most will find it comfortable to wear and to use. There is no versatility in it; you can’t use different sized O-rings to fit a various sizes of dildos, which is a quality that most people seem to like in a strap on harness. The flimsiness, the feel of it, and the frustration in taking the harness on and off is off putting and cumbersome. Unfortunately, Sinvention missed the bar on this one. Good product, but sadly, poor delivery.

Thank you for viewing Leather dildo harness – double strap harness review page!
Sammi- Thanks!
Q: what sold you on this one vs the Jaguar? They seem so similar, but I still (personally) would have chosen the Jag.
Liz2- I've tested this out for 3 weeks and it still had that very hard, uncomfortable feeling...I didn't find that it really changed, not even a little. I'm sort of used to the hard uncomfortable feeling but I prefer something softer...and I too expected so much better from this.
DreamyLove- Thank you!
Aslan is still the Canadian harness king. Certainly the softer leather they use eliminates the chaffing.
Two things I did notice (as someone who very occasionally makes harnesses and belts) 1) that the buckles on these can be locked (a tiny pad-lock through the tongue) and 2) the varioius straps all come with keepers to keep the loose belt leather secured rather than flopping.
Given the chaffing and the lockable tongue, maybe Sinvention is better suited to some BDSM games.
Ansley- Thanks!
Could you estimate the largest size this might fit?
I do tend to agree with the description that this leather is stiffer. It has to do with the fact that it is Bridle leather, not garment or latigo leathers. I do find that the Red is the stiffest leather that I have in house. To get the vibrant Red - the hides under go extra steps in the processing, the resulting red is looks amazing however the qualities of the hide ends up drier, and a little harder to work through buckles. Our standard black bridle leather has a much nicer "hand" and breaks in very very well. I prefer to use the red leathers as accents or on parts that are bases (versus strapping).
All in all I also found this review useful and informative. While I am a little disheartened that there is a mediocre review online, I know that it simply means that we have an opportunity to improve!
I encourage customers and users of our gear to please forward such comments or suggestions to us here at Sinvention. We had no idea this how the harness had been reviewed and how is being perceived.
If anyone is not completely satisfied with our gear and you want to see improvements please take the time to contact us! We are hear to listen, to help, to improve, to satisfy and to grow so that we can better serve our customers.
