Packing Strap from Hell

The Mr. Right Packing Strap was a waste of time and money for quite a few reasons: the leather, though it smelled great, is uncomfortable to wear, the elastic does not give much, and the seams on the backing cause the packing strap to scratch the skin. Sticking to other packing straps is a better idea—this one is uncomfortable, aggravating, and isn’t something to be worn for long periods of time. Though it was a great idea for the Mr. Right packer, its execution was certainly lacking.

extremely useful review
After having the Mr. Right Packing Strap for as long as I’ve had it, I've really tried to like it and say that it’s worth the money. It’s an essential piece for any person who owns the Mr. Right packer—it fits the beloved Mr. Right perfectly, and is made of leather. Two great things that, simply put, add up to a huge, painful disaster. To put it blatantly, this packing strap just does not work. Whenever I've worn it, I've felt itchy, uncomfortable, and frustrated with the fact that I spent twenty bucks on this packing strap piece of crap.

For my body type, this product didn't fit me well at all. I'm thin, so I bought the small size—and it was still too big. The measurements are accurate to the actual sizing, but you have to fit them exactly because the elastic that ASLAN Leather used doesn't give much; in other words, you must heed the measurements given for each of the sizes. I ended up using a safety pin on my packing strap to tighten and keep it in place, but it still slips down on me. If you have sewing skills, you may want to alter it if need be, and that will fix up the sizing problems right up. The other problems? Not too promising of being fixed.

The Mr. Right Packing strap is made of high-quality leather that smells wonderful. That’s actually the main reason why I ordered this—leather is my favorite material! But for some reason, this packing strap was extremely uncomfortable. The first few times that I wore it, all was fine. But around the fourth and fifth times, the seams started scratching my skin up. The seams aren't sewn well and every time that I would wear it, I would get itchy and feel uncomfortable. They also dug into me, which isn’t a very pleasing feel when all that you’re doing is trying to pack.

Sadly, there were no saving graces to this packing strap. It’s only good parts, for me, were the fact that the leather smells wonderful and that it’s lightweight in comparison to harnesses. In comparison to other packing straps, ASLAN Leather’s falls very short. Everything that this product is made of, on its own, is very attractive and seems like, together, they would make a great mix. But they honestly do not. The strap also isn’t particularly compatible with other packing cocks, so it cannot even be used for more than the Mr. Right!

The Mr. Right Packing Strap definitely did not work out in its actual execution. I do still believe that it was a great idea, and that maybe with some improvements (sew the edges a bit more comfortably, maybe finish them so that they do not scratch the skin), it could be perfect. In its current state, however, this packing strap is just no use. Though I hate to say it, it is seeming worse every time that I wear it. $20? I’d rather spend ten on a plain cotton packing strap that won’t scratch me up.
Experience
Because of my days with this packing strap, I'll suggest that (if you're alright with this) you wear it OVER your underwear, or put a thin type of underwear under it and wear another pair over it. It's scratched me up and, because of that, I'm pretty irritated with this product. I do still love the fact that it's made of leather, but when I've worn it, it just hasn't lived up to the comfort test.
Follow-up commentary
Since I tend to wear this on weekends and when I'm home only, I've found that it's become very bothersome. The elastic band is always making me itch and, especially when I'm shaved, is extremely uncomfortable. The leather also irritated my skin because like other people have said, it became bulky and when it got hot, it got very sticky. Its edges also dug into my skin.

I'd suggest buying some other type of harness or packing strap, maybe one that's made of underwear-like material such as cotton, that is cheaper and won't irritate the skin as much. Wearing packers in such a material is much less irritating and isn't bulky either, since it's like wearing underwear. Don't waste your money on this packing strap—you can find better to hold your Mr. Right (or other prosthetics) in.
