Aslan is a premium leather company that specializes in BDSM products. The Double Up Harness is a harness that is made so that the wearer can have a dildo inserted while wearing a dildo on the outside as well. It has the main hole in the front as well as two small holes on the inside strap. This allows the wearer to have a dildo inserted either vaginally or anally. It also comes with a cover that can be used to hide the external dildo hole or to make a barrier of protection between the inside of the harness and the skin. It features locking buckles so it can also be used as a chastity belt of sorts. You could place a dildo in the inner hole and lock it in place forcing the wearer to be bound to the dildo. The possibilities are endless.

The Double Up Harness can be used by female/female couples for penetration as well as male/female couples for pegging. It could also be used for gender play. It can be used for BDSM due to the locking component. It can also be worn by males.

This harness has features that will appeal to the advanced user, but beginners can use it as well. The price of it may keep a beginner away, however. The higher price tag may not make this an ideal first harness, but for those who are seeking the additional features the Double Up Harness provides, it may well be worth the additional cost.

Aslan suggests that an internal vaginal dildo not be worn for more than 30 minutes to allow for breathing.

The Double Up Harness is made of leather. As with all leather, there are two different feels to each side. The outer side of the leather is shiny and smooth. The inner side of the material is matte and scratchy. The inner material feels rough to the touch almost like sandpaper. This is the part that touches the skin. Those that are sensitive to rough materials may find this uncomfortable to wear. The leather is somewhat stiff. It can bend, but it's not a soft and pliable leather like some Aslan goods are. It will form to the body when worn, but when you try to bend it in smaller sections it has some resistance.

The leather is about 2mm thick. It's not overly thick or thin. It's thickness lends somewhat to the stiff quality of the material.

The harness has a leather smell, but it is not overwhelming even upon first opening. It can really only be noticed when held to the nose.

The metal on the harness is made of nickle plated steel. It is light weight and shiny.

The harness is a G string style design. It fits like a G string thong, with one single string that comes in along the backside. This string is adjustable via a buckle that has a locking feature.

The front of the harness is done in a V shape. The top has three nickle plated circles for design purposes. Alongside the V shape are two metal O rings that the straps are attached to. On the V shaped main piece is the O ring that the dildo fits into. This O ring is non-adjustable. It is 1.75" across. You cannot attach any other type of O ring to it.

From the metal O rings on the side come the leather straps the sling along the hips. These are adjustable via notches and a buckle. The buckle has a locking device.

From the V shape there is a large strap that comes down. Inside this strap there are two smaller O rings to hold the internal dildos. The larger one is 1.25" across. The smaller one is 1" across. These are also not adjustable and other O rings cannot be attached to them. This strap is doubled up where there is a solid strap and the strap with the O rings. The solid strap is present to hold the dildo in place when put in the O ring. The G strap attaches to these straps.



There is a flap that comes with the harness. This flap attaches via snaps to the V of the harness. This can be used to cover the front of the harness or attach at the back of the V as a shield between the harness and the skin. It is completely detachable so you can choose not to use it at all if you don't want to.

All of the buckles feature locks. Instead of a straight pin that goes through the notch there is a small circle. A lock can be placed through these circles so that the wearer cannot remove the harness. This is recommended for advanced users only.

The harness should fit hip sizes from 26"-44" as per Aslan. The harness is 28" across. It is 12.5" down. The strap that sits at the hip is 1" wide. There are 11 notches on each strap. They are .25" apart. This allows for a fit to a range of sizes. The G string strap is 10.75" long and .75" wide. It has 4 notches that are .25" apart.

I am 28" at the waist and 39" at the hip. I wear a size 6 with a few size 4's and 8's scattered about. This harness fit me well. It sits low at the hip, below where my low rise jeans fit me. There is room for a smaller size hip or larger size hip to fit in the harness with ease. What I will mention is that there seemed to be extra material at the G string strap even when adjusted all the way to the last notch. This left a bit of droop in the back. It did not seem to have impact on the performance, but did effect the overall appearance of the harness.

There were things that were great about this harness and things that were not so great. Let me start by showing you a photo of how it looks when you insert two dildos into it for the "double up" effect:

Let's start with what worked well. If you can see in the photo, the V shape of the harness holds the balls of Bandit quite nicely. I've had trouble with other harnesses being able to hold Bandit properly. As this is my husband's favorite dildo, it was a major plus to have a harness that held it well. The balls of the dildo went downward and didn't need to be pushed awkwardly to the side or pushed upward against me. It was easy to get in and out of the harness. In fact, I found this harness to be the easiest one I have to get a dildo in and out of.

When used with just the Bandit, the harness performed wonderfully. There was no pulling between the harness and the skin that caused any type of gap. This meant that the dildo didn't reposition itself during use no matter how vigorously I moved with it.

The side straps of the harness were easy to get on and figure out. It took me less than a minute to get in the harness and properly adjust it. I did have some issue with the G string back due to the stiff material. This was fixed by removing the harness and adjusting it without it being on.

Double Up didn't come through in some other areas. The first area I noticed was that the material just wasn't comfortable against my skin. The inner layer has a sandpaper feel to it. I'm texture sensitive to materials and I was very aware of the harness the entire time I was wearing it. This really took away from the overall experience for me.

The next problem was in the "double up" feature. When I placed a dildo in the internal ring, I wasn't all that impressed with the performance. When I thrusted with the harness, I got very little to no movement to the internal dildo. In fact, the positioning of the internal dildo from the downward angle proved to be somewhat irritating after a while. It rubbed my insides at just the wrong angle, more like it was pushing upward toward my stomach than in the natural curve of my insides. After a while, I ended up just taking the internal dildo out and using it without.

Perhaps the biggest horror was that the rough leather of the ring ripped the silicone of one of my VixSkin toys. Not just any VixSkin toy, mind you, but my near irreplaceable Orbit! There is now a slice near the bottom where the toy was resting against the hard leather of the ring. It did not do this with my Bandit, but the softer silicone of the Orbit was no match for the hard leather of the ring.

There's also the issue of the lack of adjustment to the rings. Since the rings are pre-sized, you are limited to what dildos you can use with the harness. All the dildos we used happened to fit, but this may not be the case for everyone who wants to use the harness. Make sure you measure everything you wish to use with the harness before buying it.

The number one rule of leather care is that it should never be submerged in water. To clean it, you should take a damp cloth with soap or leather cleaner to the material. You should make sure to immediately dry it, taking care to get in any creases that may store excess water. To keep the leather in the best shape, you can use a leather protector.

To prolong the life of the metal, Aslan suggests applying a clear coat of nail polish to it.

This does not come with any storage other than a plastic bag. You can store this in any plastic bag or simply a drawer. You could also buy a large fabric pouch if you wanted something nicer.

There is basically no packaging to the harness. It comes in a plastic baggie similar to a Ziploc. It could be used for storage if you are in a bind. It comes with a tag that has detailed care instructions on it.

While the idea is a good one, this seemed to fail in execution. The main harness itself worked beautifully, but the "double up" part not so much. If you're looking for a standard harness, this may suit your needs. The locking feature is a great bonus, especially for those into BDSM. However, the uncomfortable material and the lack of performance on the namesake keep me from giving this a full recommendation. The fact that it blemished a much loved dildo also puts a serious damper on my willingness to recommend it. I feel like the quality of the leather could have been better, especially given what I have seen in other Aslan products.

I got this because while I love pegging my husband, I can't actually orgasm from it. I thought that perhaps some internal stimulation on my end would help with that. I can actually attach an internal toy with my Pink Candy Jag Harness and the angle on that one works better for me. Consider that isn't billed as a double insertion harness and this one is, I expected this to do something much better than my Pink Candy. That was not the case. After a fairly short period of time, I stopped our session to remove the internal dildo because the angle was just plain uncomfortable. The scratchy material was a mood killer to boot.

What I will give Double Up credit for is working really well with Bandit, a dildo I've had a lot of trouble with in other harness. For that reason, I can't completely write this harness off. In fact, I'll probably use this harness when we use Bandit simply because having to maneuver the balls off to the side in all my other harnesses is very irritating. I'm willing to deal with the scratchy material in lieu of balls hitting the side of my leg. I guess you have to pick which annoyance is the lesser evil sometimes. Until I find something better, this will be the harness I use with that dildo.

For regular harness use with Bandit, this gets four stars. I can't give it five because the material is just too uncomfortable. For it's "double up" abilities it gets two stars. It does work, but not nearly as well as hoped. It didn't come undone or break or anything, so I can't give it one. I'm going with an overall rating of three on this to average it out.
