G-string harness discontinued

Clearly Striking. A Little Uncomfortable.

The Peek A Boo Clear Harness would be a good first harness, and to find out if g-string style harnesses are for you. It has the potential to ride up uncomfortably, but some adjustment of the straps can lessen this. It's simple to pop a dildo in, pull it on and adjust the straps, and it's worth getting for the sleek appearance and ease of use. If you think you'll be using a harness a lot, you might prefer to go with something in leather or fabric for comfort.

Use

The Peek-a-Boo Clear Harness is a g-string style harness. The harness is simple and extremely easy to adjust, which would make it a good choice for beginners as well as seasoned strap-on players. The harness is unique because it's clear, so you don't notice the harness itself, just the person and the dildo. This would be ideal for a transgendered individual or someone wanting to engage gender play. Something to consider, for those who prefer a harness to conceal female genitalia, this harness will not do that because it's clear. If you're a gender-bender/transperson who relies on their harness to conceal female genitalia as well as for strapping on purposes, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Material

The clear front of the harness is vinyl and the straps are black nylon. The clear material is impressively shiny with the metal O-rings, and the harness has no particular smell. The edges felt slightly rough to the touch, but it did not actually bother me wearing it. The vinyl is thick enough to feel sturdy, and I have no concern about it stretching oddly with use. The nylon straps are very thin, which works really well as they both stay in place and fit against the body snugly. This harness would be ideal for use in the shower, as the vinyl is waterproof and the nylon will air dry easily.

Design / Craftsmanship

This is a g-string style harness with a clear front, metal O-rings and adjustable nylon straps. The straps adjust easily, like backpack straps, by tugging the straps in the buckles. The harness appears to be made well, especially considering the price. The O-ring is not detachable, so you're limited in the size of toys you can use. The O-ring is 1 1/2", and I was able to easily use the Vixen Leo with it.

Size / Fit

The Peek-a-Boo Clear Harness is a g-string style harness that fits up to 60" hips. I was really concerned that this harness wouldn't fit, as I am a larger girl, but I was really pleased with the ease of finding a comfortable fit. It's easy to adjust the waist/hip strap and the one that goes between the legs. I like wearing this low on the hips, with the base of the dildo seated against my pubic bone. Not only does it fit snugly when positioned this way, it allows me to stimulate myself indirectly through pressure against my pubic bone. It's the ability to wear it low like this without sacrificing a snug fit that makes me favor this over the jock style harnesses I've tried before.

Performance

The harness was comfortable initially, but positioned as low as I like it meant the lower part of the vinyl triangle was tucked between my legs and rubbed sort of awkwardly against my pubic area. It can be uncomfortable during grinding type motions, or perhaps painful, depending on the person and their anatomy. During rigorous play, it could be a real problem unless the is positioned higher on the body.

After wearing the harness for some time, it became less comfortable. The straps felt like they were digging into my skin, the vinyl felt unforgiving. Soft fabric harnesses are forgiving, and leather wears in and softens, but vinyl's gonna stay the way it is pretty much. While I find this fits me better and is easier to put on than the jock style harnesses I've tried, I don't like the single strap up between my cheeks. Like my least favorite feature of a thong, this does the wedgie thing. Not a fan. However, it's extremely easy to put on and take off quickly. Toys secure easily and stay put. The O-ring is ideally sized for average dildos, which makes this a good, solid beginner's strap on harness.

Care and Maintenance

This harness washes up with soap and water in the sink, for both the vinyl front and the nylon straps. I remove excess moisture with a towel or paper towels, and allow it to air dry. Nothing was written on the package about how to clean it, so I just sort of winged it there. This can be stored in a toy case, chest or trunk. I keep it separate from other things in a plastic bag.

Personal comments

I have mixed feelings about the harness. I really like it, and it's comfortable to an extent, but when the straps start to irritate me and the rear strap starts giving me a wedgie I start to miss jock style harnesses that don't do that. I think the Peek A Boo Clear Harness would be good for someone looking to test the waters of strap on sex to see if it's something they like. I wouldn't invest in a g-string style harness that cost more until I tried something like this to see if the style was something I cared for, and I've got to say that the reality of harness strap wedgies would make me seriously think twice about dropping more on an expensive one. However, I used it with underwear under it and had a greatly improved experience.

Appreciated your review on this one. Guess the wedgie issue is always there with a thong obviously more so with unforgiving material.
