A great toy - but not as thin as it seems!
If you can overlook the smell, the true width, and have a harness or other attachments for this dildo, it's a great mid-sized strap-on dildo for any couple!

Pros
Firm, realistic, and the Vac-U-Lock attachments are great!
Cons
Doc Johnson toys always have a high smell, not as "thin" as you'd think!
This was a good one. My first real encounter with a strap-on/Vac-U-Lock dildo and this one didn't disappoint. It has a few flaws, but they're easily overlooked if you know what you're getting into.
First of all, this toy is advertised as a "thin" realistic dildo. I use thin in quotations simply because it's… well, not. At 1 5/8” in diameter, it's definitely a medium-sized toy. For most couples, this is fine! However, for people who are looking into pegging or just getting started into anal, it may be a tad large to start out with. Try something smaller or at least work your way up with fingers and relaxing before attempting this one.
I'm not sure what's going on over at Doc Johnson's factory, but every single toy I've ever tried from them, even clothing, has the same "sickly-sweet" smell. It's the same smell you associate with sex toys if you've ever encountered them even once before, so it's kind of a dead giveaway if you're trying to hide this somewhere. A smaller room will end up smelling like this toy for a week after you play with it!
The disappointments out of the way, let's get down to it - it feels FANTASTIC. It's just the right rigidity for a realistic feel and to keep it hard and steady, but soft enough so that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. At the base is the Vac-U-Lock plug, which you insert a bit of lube into before snapping it to whatever you're playing with, be it a harness, a blow-up balloon to bounce on (which I would LOVE to get my hands on!), or a simple suction cup. It keeps it in place very well! Even sticking your finger in there without any sort of lube creates a nice vacuum, so that's pretty solid.
Using it on its own, though, you may have a bit of trouble if you DON'T use some sort of Vac-U-Lock attachment. Without anything in the base, you can pinch and bend the dildo, and the walls around the attachment area are rather thin. If this toy is prone to tearing, this is where it will be: just above the balls on the main shaft. But just keep it clean and dry and it'll last you for a while!

What's this one made of and how do you recommend cleaning it?
-
We have this one and still like it. We've put a short vibe into the vaculock hole which works wonderfully.
-
This one's made of rubber and since rubber's rather porous, sterilizing it with a dishwasher will help, but the best idea is to just use a condom over it. Easy cleaning with soap and water!

Thank you for a great review!

I'd love a follow-up to see how this toy holds up. I have used vac-u-lock products before and I know what you mean about how fragile the toy seems right around the insertion portion. Mine never had a problem with tearing, though. Thanks for the review!
