The Zado Wild Thing Leather Whip is used for lashings or whippings. This whip does pack a punch and will sting; so beginners, this may be a bit much for you. The design of the Wild Thing by Zado is just beautiful in my opinion. It is red and black. The handle is wooden but coated with red suede and black braided style lace through eyelet holes. It's similar to what you find on a pair of shoes. At the top of the handle is a braided black hanger strap that extends out a few inches to allow for hanging on the wall should you not want to store in the box. There is not really any special shape to this item. It is basically just a straight handle with approximately 34 red suede straps hanging down from the bottom of it. I do consider this toy to be very well made. It is very pretty to look at and I just love the suede and leather materials it is made from. As far as smell, it does have a slight smell of leather but nothing that would make the experience horrible for the user. I imagine after some use this would probably go away. The feel of this is very soft and smooth. Of course, keep in mind this is just when touching it, not when using as a whip. This particular item is rated a 7 on the Eden Safety Materials Chart. I did enjoy this whip very much. Not only do I love the way it looks, I quite enjoyed the way it felt as well. It definitely does pack a punch when used by a strong hand. The only complaint I have is that, as others have said, it does bleed red when used. I have only used it once and I imagine after several uses it will not be as bad.
