Your inner Lynx will Purr
Leatherbeaten did a great job with the Lynx Collar, it's well thought out and well put together. The materials are nice, the fit is nice. Definitely a quality product.

Pros
Quality leather, well planned design, no shortcuts taken in manufacturing.
Cons
Nothing really.
The Lynx Collar by Leatherbeaten, is great as an introduction into light bondage play (snap in onto you or your girls neck for a little something to hold onto) or just a dark and sexy accessory. Personally, I thought it would be a hot addition to a night of clubbing with the girls.
The Lynx is made of soft, smooth leather with a double row of chain links in the front, and metal snaps in the back. No glue, just leather and metal. The leather is black, and it is very real, with just a hint of that heavy, Smokey scent that is inherent of real leather. I did dampen the inside part and rub it on my skin, just to test for any dye but nothing rubbed off on me. The metal snaps close quite securely, and take definite tugging to unsnap, especially if you have more than one of them closed. Also, the two chain rows in the front, are (very discreetly) soldered together at both sides and in the middle to prevent any tangling or other funky behavior where they're concerned. They sit attractively with a cool metallic shine.
Where sizing is concerned, I'm petite and have a slender neck. I went with the small, which is measured at 18 inches. That is, the entire collar is 18 inches long. But there are several snaps! Obviously each of these are going to be different a measurement. At its tightest, it measures approx 13 inches, and increases by inch, up to 18 inches. As a collar should fit snugly, I clasp it on the tightest snap, my neck is 12 inches around so it's a pretty comfortable fit. I do suggest breaking out a measuring tape to be sure.
Another interesting bit, for those among us with metal allergies, the rivets (and possibly/probably snaps and chains?) are made of nickel plated brass. Granted, you cannot expect something like sterling silver without a much larger price tag, but it might be something to consider if you're looking to wear something for long periods of time. I'm allergic to nickel, so if I wear this collar for five hours, chances are I'd get a slight irritation where the metal bits are, but odds are highly in favor of this having nothing to do with most of you.
Packaging is most definitely minimalistic, the collar comes in a little clear plastic baggie, with a Leatherbeaten tag with the name/size of the collar written on the back, and that's all folks. No muss, no fuss.
Also, as stated by Bill Ditchburn (owner and president of Leatherbeaten) said on the forums recently, there is "a full replacement warranty on all of their gear against defects in manufacturing and materials..." which is nice, although he went on to say that, in 20 years, they'd never received a collar back. Looking at, and touching this collar I can see how that would be the case, it really is a quality piece.
