The Impressions heart crop is nothing special. If you are looking for something to inflict pain, look elsewhere. This product should only be used for very light play, or to be an accessory only.

Pros
Cute
Cons
Flimsy
I was looking for my first slapping toy when I came across the Impressions crop by Sportsheets. At ten dollars, I was hesitant of how well it could preform. After removing it from its non-discreet cardboard home and giving objects in my proximity a few good whacks with the crop, I was somewhat impressed.
Sadly, this feeling didn't last very long.
Being such an inexpensive toy, I don't feel like it would last a very long time. The black and red crop with a heart cut-out gives it a nice whimsical or romantic touch. However, it felt flimsy in it's design. The crops faux-leather top is secured with metal grommets, but if you're into heavy play I don't foresee this staying put. I'm not sure if I got a defect, but the grommets feel weak and the faux-leather seems like it would come loose.
It is also too long and awkward to hold. The crop delivers anywhere from a light tap to a pretty painful smacking. However because it is so long (23 inches) the extension of your arm has to be greater when swinging. It is extremely light, and I fear the plastic-looking rod in the middle of the crop will eventually bend or even snap!
Ignoring the flimsy design, the crop can deliver as much sting as you'd like. I was hoping the impression of the heart would be left on the skin after a hit, but as much as I tried, it was not visible.
Cleaning the crop should not be a problem, as it is not real leather. To clean, take a soapy wet cloth and rub gently, then lay out to dry.
I suggest this crop to only be used for light play, or as a prop for a costume. Unfortunately, I will only be using it for looks.

Follow-up commentary

The impressions crop is not a toy that gets much use anymore. I find that it just doesn't provide enough stimulation or cover a large area of skin like I would want it to. It is a nice prop for a costume, but for those who are into slapping or spanking, look elsewhere.
