This leather hog tie is intended as a quick release hog tie piece. While you can do a hog tie with ropes, using a leather restraint instead offers you a faster way to get out if something goes wrong, or if you would like to change positions.


Beginners will love this because it is easy to get into, and easy to get out of, while doing a great job at keeping you bound when in use. Advanced users will love the spontaneity of using a quick-tie quick-release set like this to free up your time for other things.

This leather hog tie contains four leather "arms" with four grommits each. One end of each arm is attached to an O ring, and one end has a crab-claw hook. The hooks are made of metal as are the grommits and O ring. Lying flat, the length across is 11", from crab-claw tip to crab-claw tip.


This piece is very well made and will last a long while. The leather has a faint leather smell to it, but only if you hold it right below your nose. The leather is firm, yet it bends a little bit and is somewhat flexible.


One major thing to keep in mind with this item is that you can't just buy it and use it on its own. You will need a set of wrist and ankle cuffs to have something to clip the crab-claw clips to.

Generally, when my partner and me do hog ties they are with rope. However, rope takes a lot longer than a small device like this does, so we thought we would give this a go for when we wanted a quicker tie. I did notice some differences between using leather for a hog tie, and using rope.


For one, while rope takes longer, you do not need to have any wrist cuffs or other gear to make it work. (Aside from a very sharp pair of EMT scissors). However, with the leather hog tie, you do need both wrist and ankle cuffs.


For two, with rope, you can get your hog tie tighter. With the leather hog tie, what you see is what you get. Depending on how flexible you are, and how large your body is, this will be more or less strict for you. I'm an incredibly flexible person (my partner jokes that I'm like a slippery eel when it comes to bondage!), and I find that this does not feel very strict to me, and allows me quite a bit of movement. However, I am incapable of escaping it, because my fingers cannot reach the crab-claw hooks.

This restraint is made from leather, so you should use only a barely damp cloth on it if it gets dirty. Leather does not like to be wet. Also, be sure not to share this if you get any bodily fluids on it. Leather is porous, and you cannot sterilize it! I personally store mine in our leather restraints bin. If you have a toy box or other place for your toys, this should store easily. It folds down pretty small and discreetly.

I HATE THE PACKAGING! Okay, I know caps are overkill a lot of the time, but I really, really hate the way this comes packaged. It is absolutely obnoxious to me. The packaging is just a plastic tube with a black top and bottom with a hanging loop. It seams innocent enough, but it is just terrible. I am personally incapable of getting the lid off the top of this by myself, and even my partner had a difficult time (and he has incredibly strong hands)! I saved the tube, but only so I could show you guys in the video review. It's no way near a deal breaker, but I really do wish this was better packaged. If you have Superman or Wonder Woman-esque strength, it may not matter to you, but this actually made me really angry.


The packaging does come with a piece of paper inside showing a person tied with it, and telling you about the features of the piece. It is nothing crazy, but as it has a nude tied up person on it, it isn't exactly discreet either.

While at first I was unsure if I liked the fact that I was able to move around so much with this on, after a few minutes, my partner showed me why more room to move was a good thing. We were able to put toys on and in my genitals which is not usually easy or possible for us with a strict rope tie. With the looser hog tie my partner was able to pick me up by my legs and move me around like a rag doll. It was very fun, and oh so hot!


It was also easy to detach the tie when we wanted to get to the sex part of the evening. Overall, I think that both rope hog ties and leather restraint hog ties have a place in our bedroom, depending on our time level and what we plan on doing that night.
