My boyfriend and I were taking a walk though our neighborhood one night and he picked up a feather reed from someones yard and carried it home with us. When we got home, he got me naked and started tickling and teasing me with it. I LOVED IT! That was a first for me, and I immediately added it to my mental EF Wish list.
Browsing through the ticklers on EF, this one was one of the least expensive. If you're lucky enough to catch it while it's on sale, you might even get it for around $3! Regardless of what you pay, you'll find that most ticklers are the same.
This one appears to be of good quality. I haven't lost any bits of feather, it is ODORLESS!, it hasn't left any of it's purple color on my skin (even when it got a little...damp), and it has held up well to about a half dozen uses. I have had to hide it from my cat, though. He thought it was the best thing ever.
The length of the handle is pretty good - you don't have to stretch or move around to reach the entire length of your partners body; and if you want to incorporate the handle into a little bit of spanking... let's just say it will hold up to some light smacks without a problem.
Now, while it didn't leave any color on me when it was damp, I definitely advise you NOT get this wet. It won't stay fluffy and soft for long if you do. When cleaning it, just use a soft towel or brush to wipe down the feathers, starting from where they're attached to the handle to their free ends. I've been doing that to clean mine and haven't had any issues. If you're too rough with it, you'll likely pull the feathers out.

Follow-up commentary

This little feather teaser has held up well to several uses and storage AWAY FROM my cat! I haven't had much problem with the feathers frizzing or falling out, the color has stayed fast on the feathers and I've had my fair share of tickles! The shaft of the tickler also seems to be holding up well.
