Wheel Fun!
For a couple or a person just beginning to experiment with BDSM, this can be a great introduction. The wheel provides some sensation instead of the pain that can be associated with other type of wheels. More experienced users will find this item a bit tame, but as an introductory piece it is very good.

Pros
Great for experimentation, Perfect for beginners in the BDSM scene, Affordable, Compact
Cons
Slight squeaking noise, Can be a little tame for more advanced BDSM players.
My wife and I are just starting to discover the BDSM lifestyle. I've been involved in the past, but this is her first foray into it. When I mentioned a Wartenberg Wheel to her a few months back and showed her one online to her, she was intrigued though a little scared. I found this little guy on EdenFantasys and she agreed to give it a try.
For the price, this little item is a very good value. I ordered it and it quickly arrived. It comes in a cardboard box with a picture of the item on it. The cardboard is somewhat flimsy and was discarded immediately. Inside the box, the item was in a plastic bag. At first, I thought it was a cover to the wheel. Once I unfolded it, it was a blindfold. The blindfold felt very rough and scratchy and both my wife and I decided that even though it was free we weren't interested in trying it out. We discarded it as well.
The wheel has smaller teeth than most of the other wheels on the market, hence the appeal for my wife. I believe it is designed as an introductory toy and is more for sensation play than rather than anything heavier. The toy is very light and glides easily over skin. When moved lightly, it feels more like a tickle than anything else. With more pressure, you can produce different sensations. I haven't had this toy leave any long-lasting marks thus far, even gliding over my wife's delicate skin the area will redden for a moment and fade away pretty quickly. I'm sure if you pressed very hard with this toy you could leave some longer-lasting marks.
As someone who has experimented with other wheels in the past, it would almost seem to be another type of toy entirely. There is no real pain inflicted with this, and certainly no long lasting marks will be left. This is a toy that is very good for beginners and people within the BDSM realm who enjoy sensation play more than pain, like myself.
The drawback to this toy is that is squeaks as it is rolling across the skin. It sounds like that sticky wheel on a cart and I've tried some lubricant to help end the squeak but hasn't been solved so far. I think maybe something like WD-40 will be able to stop the squeak entirely.
Cleanup is very easy with this toy, you could run it under soap and water and I would advise using an anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner. I also use toy wipes as well to clean this. While the packaging is not good for storage, the item is so small it should fit in any drawer that you hide things away in, rather easily.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
While not the best piece of BDSM equipment on the market, we still enjoy this toy a lot. The WD-40 helped remove the squeak that came from the wheel and has helped it glide easier across the skin. It is still pretty tame in comparison to other wheels on the market, so a perfect introduction to BDSM or for those who want very little amounts of pain. For the price a very nice little item.
