Blindfolds are great multifunctional pieces. You can use them for purely sleep purposes to block out light. If you're more on the kinky side, you can use blindfolds during partner play time for a more sensual experience.

OK, I have a confession to make. I love to sleep! So much so that I love to take naps. Well, here's the issue with naps: if you don't have dark blinds the sun can get irritating. I even put a blanket over my head to block the light out so I can sleep. Well, with a blanket over my head it gets hard to breathe. Once I was a member of Eden Fantasy's for a while I realized I can buy a blindfold! So, I purchased Pipedream's Love Mask in hopes that I could experience a sun free sleep. Unfortunately for me, the pink version didn't do a very good job.

The Love Mask is made out of satin. It's pretty comfortable and soft to the touch. For only $6 it's not the most amazing satin out there. It does look a little cheaply made. When you touch the fabric, you can actually feel a paper they put inside the blindfold. You can't see it, but you sure can feel it. It doesn't have any smell. There is a black tag on the inside of the mask. It says 'Pipedream' on one side and 'Made in China' on the back. Although cheaply made, I imagine it would hold up through quite a few uses. There are two strings on the back to help hold it to your head. The strings are pretty stretchy and will accommodate most heads. They were stretchy enough for my big head. Unfortunately, the strings arn't adjustable but you can't complain for $6. The actual blindfold is pretty straight across. It did a good job of covering the eyes (as it should). However, just because it covered my eyes doesn't mean it blocked out light.

My first impression when I put the blindfold on was: well, I can still see. I just wanted it to block out light and give me some darkness. Unfortunately, it didn't do that. I put it on during the day and it hardly made it any darker for me. When I put my hands in front of my face I can still see. This means it won't work well for sensory play if you can see what's going on (then there's no surprise!). It fit my head just fine but it's not the most comfortable feeling after a while. If you fall right asleep you won't notice it, but if you have it on longer you will. Now, if you get a darker mask it may work better to block out light. But, I'm not going to spend another $6 to find out. I'm going to get a better quality mask next time.

The Love Mask comes in a plain white package. There is a see through panel where you can see the mask. It's not discreet at all. Once you open it, the package is ripped so you really can't use it for storage. You don't really need to store this in a special way. I would just keep it in a box or in my bedside drawer.

I rarely give a product one star, but I'm giving Pipedream's Love Mask one star. It did absolutely nothing for me. Sadly, I'm just going to throw mine out.
