Unisex? Not a chance.
Probably a decent straightjacket if you're a small woman and don't plan to do much "resisting". Ill-fitting for those of us who wear larger than a size ten and "unisex" is pushing it.

Pros
Easy to clean, easy to buckle straps, 3 attachment points for tie down, free bonus mask included.
Cons
Runs very, very small and is poorly sewn, no measurements/dimensions on the packaging.
I'm going to admit it. I was absolutely thrilled to be offered the Pipedreams Fetish Fantasy unisex straightjacket to review. I've wanted a straightjacket for what seems like eternity and this one comes in black.
Rawr.
I accosted the mailman, ripped the package out of his hand and broke a nail getting it open, I was so eager to have this damned thing. I tore it open, barely noticed the packaging and RAN over to Taylor, wanting it on now, now, now.
That's where the excitement ends.
The straightjacket is supposedly unisex and one size fits most. It's supposedly comfortable and made from an easy to clean, rubberized fabric. "Perfect for him or her!" it states on the box.
Lies, lies, all of it lies.
It's probably easy to clean and comfy but I didn't get that far.
The material is reminiscent of a back pack with absolutely no stretch to it which - you guessed it - means it didn't fit. At all.
The arms - which end in nice, hand covering mitts - are probably long enough for a man as they were too long for me but they were also extremely snug. I wear a woman's large or extra large shirt and they were so snug I didn't think we were going to get the jacket on at all. I can't imagine any but the smallest man being able to fit into this jacket. The neck fit me well but that's the only thing that did. As we tried to buckle me into the straightjacket we found the fabric didn't come anywhere close to meeting in the back across my shoulders and chest.
We carried on, however, determined to give it a try.
The buckles - which are slide type, under then over buckles - were able to be buckled but just barely. And the second we had it completely on and I flexed my shoulder we heard a tearing sound.
Yup. I blew out a seam in the shoulder/chest area. Not only did it rip but the fabric at that seam completely frayed, making it difficult to fix even if you have the sewing skills and machine.
Meh.
The straightjacket has a strap and buckle across the neck, shoulder, mid-back and waist area, as well as thigh straps to keep it from creeping up. It has two side straps for limiting movement if you want to tie your partner down while they're in the jacket or to guide them if you want to move them. It has a D-ring in the collar as a point of attachment or to guide them by a leash. The material is thin but seems durable and is very, very hot once you're in it. The sleeves end in mitts, preventing you from undoing straps or scratching/touching.
Unfortunately, since the seams don't hold up and it's NOT sized for larger people, I'm not sure how useful this product will actually be.
I would recommend it for those who are small framed. It would probably fit those women who wear up to a size ten or a very slender man but since it measures only 38 inches at it's widest point (across the lower chest) it's definitely not unisex nor one size fits most.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
This thing is still hanging on my closet door, lonely and unused. I tried to give it away, but even my smaller friends don't like it, didn't want it, thought it pretty much sucked. It's a total shame because it could have been fantastic; it's just designed so poorly and mis-proportionately. The arms are too long yet too narrow, the neck is big, the chest is small, and it's too short.
Many of the Pipedream Fetish Fantasy stuff seems to be okay. This one is a complete fail.

Thank you for viewing Unisex straitjacket review page!
The jacket looks el lame-o indeed! I have wide shoulders and I betcha I would hulk through it as well.
Depends how much it ultimately costs, but it could be fun to struggle and rip out of this for a little "bottom becomes the top" type play.
Anyways, buuuuuuumer!
I'm pretty bummed that it didn't work and hoping mine was a fluke.
P.S. - you have a lot of pillows!
But thanks!
The pillows? It's a pain in my ass to take most of them off the bed every night so we can actually sleep in it!
