People who have not learned bondage with rope or who don't feel their current skills are adequate will enjoy the ease with with they can use the Twisted Love Ties. This product works well for both beginners and experienced players. While a beginner might only dabble in bondage and might not require firm bondage, the Twisted Love Ties are great for someone who has never put a partner in bondage. Whereas an experienced player can easily tie someone with the Twisted Love Ties in a way that the bottom (the receiver of bondage) cannot possibly escape. The Twisted Love Ties do not require herculean strength to use, so virtually anyone who wants to helplessly bind someone can have success with them.

The Twisted Love Ties are superbly designed. They operate like large twist ties for sandwich bags. They're covered with a soft, comfortable foam layer that makes the bottom quite comfortable. Rest assured, you can make your bottom quite uncomfortable in sadistic predicaments, but they wont complain about the Twisted Love Ties hurting them. I noticed a very faint smell that's only perceptible when your nose is literally touching the foam of the ties. It isn't noticeable during play at all. The base layer is a strong, pliable wire of some sort. I am unsure and a bit wary of how the Twisted Love Ties may perform after a year of use. Perhaps the wire will become less strong; I am not entirely sure. The stitching on the Twisted Love Ties is reinforced. I see no signs that the wire will protrude out the ends, which are reinforced internally with a plastic nub. The Twisted Love Ties are 34 inches in length and there are two ties that come in the package. If someone were to have wrists similar in size to Andre' the Giant's, they may find these frustrating to use. For the rest of us, they are perfectly long enough to use in a variety of ways.

The Twisted Love Ties worked fantastically for me. I have used them on multiple partners and they have never failed me. My purpose in buying the Twisted Love Ties was to use them in situations where I didn't feel like using rope, or when I wanted to tie someone in positions that my rope skills wouldn't have been adequate. I am still learning rope and have a long way to go still. However, one partner I put these on is notorious for getting out of bondage that even the most experience rigger has put on her. When she was tied to a chair with the Twisted Love Ties, all of a sudden her eyes flashed recognition that she wasn't going anywhere. These ties are useful in a wide variety of positions. I've used them to tie hands in front of a person, behind their back, to tie them to a chair and a bed, and sometimes I've applied them to ankles and then added single column rope ties to wrists. Adding in a bit of rope extends the use of the Twisted Love Ties. One easy way to use the Twisted Love ties is to bind one wrist with one tie, simply circling the wrist moderately firmly, and then looping the second tie underneath the first in the center of the tie before binding the second wrist. It's escape-proof!

The Twisted Love Ties may come in contact with sweat, or possibly vaginal or seminal fluid (if you have sex hanging from chandeliers). As this is the case, a good product to use to sanitize the Twisted Love Ties would be Hibiclens, 50/50 with water. It would be best used on a sponge so you can control how much moisture gets into the ties. Slightly damp would be perfect. I would leave them in an sunny location for the day. Be sure they are 100% dry before twisting them together for storage. The Twisted Love Ties came to me bent in half, together, and one end was twisted while the other end made a circle. However, I imagine in their natural habitat they like to be stored in a full length position so they can maintain their strength for future play.

The Twisted Love Ties came in a minimal, cardboard package, which I appreciated, being a hardcore environmentalist. There were no instructions, but as an experienced BDSM player, I am evil enough without instructions. Perhaps Sportsheet could include some basic ties with this product. Users could also go online in search of bondage how-to sites. Once you have an idea of the position you want to tie someone in, you can try to adapt it from rope to the Twisted Love Ties.

I have really enjoyed having the Twisted Love Ties in my toybag. Whereas if I have rope with me, I am sometimes remiss to take it out and use it, these ties are so user-friendly and quick that I add them into whatever other sadistic adventure I am on.
