Tweezers That Will Send Your Mom Screaming for the Hills
Simple design is great for a beginner, but the tweezers deliver a painful pinch that any deviant would be proud of. Pain never felt so good, even your mom will want to play! (Well, maybe not your mom, but mine enjoyed them thoroughly...I think.)

Pros
Varied sensations in one item with just a slip of a ring.
Cons
The rubber tips come off way too easily, exposing sharp metal.
It just so happens that when I received my Black Clamps made by Spartacus, my mom was here for a visit. Before I even had a chance to play with them, she was running with them hanging from her nipples and screaming for me to get them off. It seems that it was smooth sailing for her until she slid the rings closer to the tip and the grip got tighter.
Once I put her to bed, I played with them myself, and whoa!
These are my first nipple tweezers. Usually I play with clothespins and I found out right away that these tweezers encompass every clothespin I have encountered. The ring that slides up and down them tightens and loosens the tip, allowing you to explore different pain thresholds in one item. I love this versatility and this is the reason why I would suggest these for a beginner. As you are able to take more pain, you can slide the ring higher up the tweezers, making the grip tighter.
However, there are a couple reasons why I would suggest that a beginner be really careful with these:
1. The plastic rubber tips slip off the tweezers with ease. I didn't notice it until I took them off and saw that the tip looked uneven. When I took the cover off, I realized that it wasn't glued into place and that it reveals sharp metal ends.
2. It takes one second to go from loose to tight. If you slide the ring up too fast, you will be running around the house like my mom, begging for someone to take them off.
I also noticed that the rings do not appear to be perfectly round on the outside. There are parts where the black paint seems to have rubbed off, but in actuality, there seems to be slits where the rings come together. The only concern I have here is that they may open over time. I will definitely be doing a follow-up review just to see if this is the case.
The chain that links to two tweezers is wonderful for keeping your new clamps together. If you are anything like me, I misplace everything, so having a strong chain that joins the two together is AWESOME! The chain measures twelve inches and connects to a small, circular ring that then attaches to the tweezers, giving you almost an extra 1/2" to play with.
I love the weight on these tweezers, especially since I try to destroy every toy I get for review just to see how it holds up. These are far from flimsy.
Going back to versatility, you can use the tweezers on other fleshy parts of your body. But please, do so in the presence of someone else if you are unsure of your pain tolerance. Having someone there gives you an ally that can jump in and rescue you if you slide the rings up too far.
Cleaning is rather simple for these. I used the antibacterial toy cleaner from Cal Exotics. You can also use a moist cloth or toy wipe to clean your tweezers.
The Black Tweezers come in a simple, see-through package. I would suggest changing the packaging for storage because it was opened when I received it and hard to close completely shut. It would suck to think you hid your new tweezers just to find that they slipped out onto the living room floor while the parents are over for a visit. (Of course, this would be no problem in my household.) Instructions do not come with these and I won't harp on it because they really seem easy to use, but what seems simple to you and me may not be to another (okay, I harped a little).
The Black Tweezer clamps are very travel-friendly with the ability to fit into your pocket, change purse, make-up case, desk drawer, kangaroo pouch, coffin, or body bag. I wouldn't play in water with these because of the metal, but feel free to play anywhere else that has decent climate conditions. (No visits to the rain forest wearing only the clamps, please.)
These tweezers did everything Spartacus claims: "Excellent for beginners, raven-colored Black Tweezer clamps can deliver a feather-light touch or a tight pinch. The tweezer clamps adjust at the touch of a finger, for a titillating range of sensations."
The tweezers are a great buy for the price and are sure to bring you hours of painful enjoyment. So pluck away...

Follow-up commentary
10 days after original review
I know it's a bit early for a follow-up review; however, after using my tweezers last night for an extended period of time, I needed to report back. The tips come off of these way too easily, and when you pull on the tweezers, sometimes you get back a rubberless sharp metal tip. This can be dangerous, and because of this, my rating will definitely go down for this product. This is a bummer, too, because I wanted to love them, but unfortunately they didn't love me back.

Have you tried other brands of tweezers? I wonder if the tips falling off is a common issue for these style of clamps..
