Tingle and thud.
The Tingle is a small, but impressively thuddy suede flogger. While it looks nonthreatening, and is almost impossible to do real damage with, this toy can deliver a surprisingly effective flogging.

Pros
Small, versatile, pretty colors, quality materials and construction.
Cons
None.
The Tingle is an adorable, nonthreatening, little flogger that packs a surprising punch. I admit that when I first saw my Tingle I was a little bit disappointed. It looked so sweet and innocent with it's cheery, bright blue tails. Nothing so friendly and insubstantial looking could really be all that effective, could it?
But I am happy to report that I was wrong. The Tingle can deliver quite an effective flogging if you put a little force behind the blows. With just a slightly lighter hand, it can also deliver that nice tingly sensation that it is clearly named for. And, if you use a very light hand, it is easy to create a pleasant, tickling caress.
It's always tough to describe the feel of an impact toy because so much depends on how you use it, but I would call the Tingle surprisingly, and pleasantly, thuddy. Most small floggers tend to create more sting than thud, but not the Tingle. You can create a sting with this flogger if you catch the skin with the tips of the tails, but otherwise the blows have an impressive amount of thud to them for such a diminutive toy. I am told that most people can handle far more thud than sting, and that is certainly my own experience.
You can definitely find more impressive and "serious" floggers out there, but not anywhere close to the price point that the Tingle is going for. Leatherbeaten claims that "they are great warm up toys, and/or an excellent starter flogger for anyone curious about BDSM, but unwilling to spend an arm and a leg to find out if it is in fact their thing." I have to agree, and I would also add that they are a great toy for playing in tight spaces where you don't have room to swing a larger flogger. They are also perfect for flogging the more sensitive bits of the anatomy where you need to have total control over where the tails land.
The Leatherbeaten website calls the Tingle "as good as it gets" in the "realm of the budget flogger," and, overall, I think they are right on. The suede used in this toy is ridiculously soft and pretty, the construction is quality and the toy delivers on impact. We did find that it shed a little bit at first, and it did dye my partners hand a bit blue the first time we used it, but it seems that both were temporary issues. We will be enjoying this toy for a long time to come. Two thumbs up.
