Tickler For A Mad Scientist

For sensory play you simply can't beat a feather on a stick. The Fluffer Tickler takes the whole feather on a stick contraption to a new exquisite level. While this isn't the prettiest or most elegant looking toy it is soft, warms to body temperature easily and has a long enough handle that you can easily watch every reaction your 'victim' has. The handle can double as a rather wicked crop to "wake up" the nerves for the tickling to come!

extremely useful review
As a sensualist I have a unique fondness for soft and fluffy toys. The Fluffer Tickler is one that I have looked at for a while, until Sigel got tired of seeing it on my wish list!

The Tickler doesn't come in a fancy package it is simply packaged in a plastic bag and with a simple cardboard attached to the stem with plastic ties. The plastic ties will not mar the finish of the handle and it has some lovely suggestions about how to use the tickler as well as some pictures of other ticklers in this line.

Though this toy isn't the most expensive out there it's high quality construction means it can withstand heavy use. The handle is black PVC plastic and measures approximately 8 1/2 inches. It is soft and fits the hand easily, even when you have lubed up fingers the handle has enough drag that it won't easily slip from your grip. The stem of the toy is approximately 15 1/2 inches and is made of hard plastic it is very firmly attached to a softer PVC cup which measures approximately 3 1/2 inches. This soft cup covers the area where the feathers are attached to the stem. The handle on this toy measures 27 1/2 inches which means you can stand back far enough from your 'victim' to clearly see their reactions. The handle is flexible and thin making it perfect as a short crop.

The feathers are a marabou and this is one of the most unusual feather ticklers I have ever seen. I have the black and white one and it looks like a mad scientists hair-do! It is com prised of a twisted strand of marabou in black looped and attached firmly to the stem of the toy. It is soft, sturdy and unlikely to come undone unless you really try to pull it out. Gentle tugging didn't even result in feathers being lost. The second part of the feather tip is a whole bunch of long marabou single feathers in white. The contrast between the black and white is visually stunning. The white feathers are pretty randomly stuck in and are all different lengths.

When twirled or slowly dragged over your partner's skin the softer marabou feels warm and almost alive. If you use just the longer white strands it can create a cool, tickling sensation that will have your 'victim' squirming in delight. One technique I have found very effective to "wake up" the nerves is to lightly tap the skin with the handle until it blushes softly then turning the toy over twirl and swirl the feathers over the area.

This isn't a toy that will cut or break the skin so it is unlikely that blood or other bodily fluids will be transferred to the toy. The handle of the toy can be washed with a damp cloth or a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol. The feathers can be rinsed with cool water, then air dried or dried with a hairdryer on no-heat or air dry. It is probably better to be careful not to get oils, lubes, lotions or other fluids on the feathers since even water cleaning can cause damage to the tiny spines on the feathers.
Experience
When we saw the Fluffer Tickler both Sigel and I christened it "The Doc" as it looks like a mad scientist's hairstyle. It isn't a terribly pretty or elegant toy but it feels exquisite. Paired with a regular feather tickler or a chain tickler it creates a lovely sensation.
Follow-up commentary
My fluffer tickler has always reminded me of a mad scientist's hair style. One night it got laid in some spilled massage oil and I thought it was ruined. Since it is one of our favorites I was a bit bummed but had decided to order another one.
Sigel decided to try something first, though. He reasoned that Dawn dish detergent is sometimes used on birds after an oil spill. So he washed the feather tickler carefully in a few drops of detergent and warm water. Then he used a hairdryer on cold setting to gently fluff it dry. He noticed it had some static build up. He carefully ran an used dryersheet over the feathers and it was good as new!

You have to be really careful when the feathers are wet as they are very delicate but it did save the toy. I would have just tossed it and bought another one but he is much more frugal than I am, thank goodness!
